Vines at 139 — Restaurant in New South Wales

We visit whenever in Grafton and have had great meals, good service and happy to come again. However today, we waited and waited for service, very few customers (8) and tables empty. Staff ignored us and after 9 minutes told us to grab a table, apologised that tables needed a clean and handed us menus. Sat, talked and chose our meals, no chalkboard presented though we could see it) , table not wiped down. Staff playing with coffee and taking different coffees out to kitchen, , lots of giggles and laughter. After 10 to 15 minutes we stood up and left. Very very disappointed as it is a highlight of a visit to Grafton. It was a Monday and staff were different. What a gem this place is! We ordered from the lunch specials and they all tasted heavenly for reasonably priced meals. The servings are big so you can probably share a meal. I earnestly wish this cafe was not 488kms from where we live as we really enjoyed the food and we would have been regulars. This totally changed my husband's idea of cafe food.
