Greaser's Good Food — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

The burgers are great! Not just great for a vegan restaurant, great full stop. They give other burger joints in Newy a run for their money, who usually struggle with the veggie and vegan options. The fried chicken tenders in the Chick’n, Fakon, Ranch burger were amazing! Serving sizes were also decent. The shakes were also enjoyable, and massive!

The only negatives for us were that the sweet potato fries were so salty that we didn’t really enjoy them and hardly ate many. Also, the Mac n’ Cheese Poutine, while delicious, seemed a bit thin on the toppings, particularly the gravy (especially when you consider the $13 price tag). If it wasn’t for those couple of things it’d probably be 5 stars for me.

Charismatic welcoming staff with a comprehensive knowledge of vegan food.

The menu is simple burger fair, but they do it well.

BBQ cheese burger tastes unhealthy and authentic, but doesnt leave you feeling like death with saturated fats coursing.

The coco caramel shake, was a treat, and again not heavy like typical dairy cousins.

I mean by no means a healthy option, but definitely one better than typical american diners, and 100% plant based.

The new (may 2023) hot dawgs absolutely slap!! I haven't had a hotdog done with such a nod to the traditional version yet. Awesome work guys

I was looking forward to a fully vegan burger joint, to be completely disappointed. Both myself and my partner who aren't fussy eaters couldn't finish our burgers and left most of it behind. We got two different burgers off the menu which were both very soft and a very sickly texture that left our stomach churning. The bun and patty along with the sauces were pure mush.
