Hot Shot Lounge — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Had to be the most surprisingly bad experience. Daughter taking me out for early mothersday brunch. We had both been here befor. My daughter regularly hence my hesitation to persue further complaint as there was distinct disinterest from main staff member answering queries I had. Wanted the sour dough smahed avo fetta but chap said they had no sour dough. Bit odd considering the availability of it in several bakery and supermarket locations in centre....anyway thats ok I said. I will have the breaky brucetta then. As I really wanted sour dough but will have some nice brucetta instead.... Maybe it was silly of me to think it would be on maybe a sliced baguette or something else but no . I got 1 ordinary slice of toast with some half cut cherry tomatoes, a sprinkle of something green that you could hardly sed let alone even taste and a poached egg with still clear uncooked patrs of white. I thought i had the wrong meal but no was told...oh thats usually served on sourdough....mmmm oh ok didnt think to tell me that was too especially after changing my mind previously from a sour dough dish because there was none. .my daughter had eggs benny with dark green brown avo ....on toast....as they didnt have sour dough ...gosh. i felt so bad for her as she was treating me. These meals were 17/18 $$ each SHAME HOTSHOTS!!!. DISCUSTING. If i were with anyone else I would have...

All I can say about the Hot Spots Lounge is we visited there on Friday 23rd April 2021 ordered 2 cups of coffee that took 1/2 hour to get them then they were cold. Also ordered a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich which we haven't seen yet. What terrible service and why we didn't go to the counter and complain you might ask is it simply wasn't worth the effort because anyone who can run a business as bad as that certainly wouldn't care about dealing with complaints. Answer is we would never go back and neither will anyone else we know. The other amazing thing is that there was only five other people there so you can't blame being busy as a reason. After covid 19 you would think businesses would new keen for customers not drive them away. I wonder how much longer you will be...

Stuff need more training! The worker serving us wouldnt speak up, you can barely hear him speak & wouldnt raise his voice so that im able to hear what his saying. It was like he was whispering! After placing our order we received our food but no drinks after.we waited about 20 mins & still nothing.The waiter walked Passed multiple times without asking if we needed anything, i went to see If they were getting our drinks ready, the worker at the register pretty much ignored the fact that i was standing there i waited for a few mins then She finally asked if i needed anything i asked for our drinks & the other worker said that she had forgot to make them.
