The Shed Cafe - Newcastle — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

I had asked the staff member what the item was behind the glass, to which I was told it was a white chocolate brownie. As it sounded delicious, I proceeded to order the white chocolate brownie for takeaway to eat later. Another worker proceeded to heat up my order, to which I quickly questioned, as it was to eat much later in the day, hence why I ordered takeaway. Upon eating my ‘white chocolate brownie’, I have found it is actually filled with macadamia and citrus flavours.. NOT a white chocolate brownie. Safe to say I don’t have any allergies towards the ingredients in this mysterious piece of dessert which I did not want, nor did I order. I was really looking forward to a treat in the evening, but have been greatly disappointed :( The iced matcha that my friend got was also really powdery...

Oh my word - five stars. Coffee is AMAZING, staff is the absolute best (hi Lolita, Kyrie (the best barista I've ever met), Olive, and Perdit!), and they have lovely tables to sit at inside Marketown. It's always flooded with natural light and the delicious scent of scrumptious food and freshly ground coffees and teas! The Shed is absolutely amazing, and I spend about half of my life in cafes around the world so I would know! HA! 5/5 stars, would give 100 stars if I could. Can't wait to go back...

So I got an açai, it was $17 which for me is already pricey but nonetheless happy to pay. Upon receiving it the portion was appalling for the price with just a bit of granola, a couple pieces of fruit and a dollop of açai. I asked for them to add a bit more which I they were kind enough to do and without hesitation but once I got in the car and started eating it I realised the açai was bad and had a wine-like fizzy fermented taste. Super disappointing and I had to throw it away is it was not...
