We ordered a takeaway Pork soft bone soup. The portion size was extremely small for $23(see pic), and it had a smell and taste that was distinctly scummy, or of meat that wasn’t fresh. I love Thai food, and have recently been to multiple other Thai restaurants in the area. And I am more than sure that this soup tastes absolutely not right. I won’t be back to Saowanee’s.

Delicious food, generous serves. Stand outs were whole fried fish. Outstanding Somtam. Atmosphere a little cold but they did turn off air con when requested. Service could have been a little more attentive but we were a late sitting. Alcohol prices very reasonable and good wine list. Food came out very quickly. Thoroughly recommend.

We went here for lunch for the first time. Very nice meals, great service and very comfortable seatings and atmosphere. We really enjoyed the Triple Flavors Fish, the Drunken Noodles and Sweet Sour Stir Fry Chicken. They are very tasty with reasonable price, for the quality of food we had. For sure would come back again.

Atmosphere

Nice small restaurant with a nice ambiance. Tables and the restaurant is nicely decorated. There are seating areas inside and outside.

Food

Food is amazing. You receive complimentary prawn crackers upon arrival. Massaman beef curry is one of my favorites, all other curries very nice as well. Little bit disappointing all the fish options are deep fried, they do not have none deep fried fish options.

Service

Service used to be amazing but lately I have noticed the service has dropped a little bit.

Food was lovely. However, we came in around 730PM and had to wait an hour the food to be served. Drinks were slow to come as well - we had to follow up. Once the food did come, they served us the wrong dish and asked we wait a few more minutes. It was incredibly difficult to get servers' attention as well. Everyone around us who came around the same time seemed to have their food sorted sooner so not sure what went wrong with our table. Such a shame. Wanted to order some dessert as well, but decided against it as we figured it would take ages before they would manage to...

Our favourite Thai restaurant in Perth. Came here for the first time 7 years ago and fell in love with their Pad Thai. I think it is the best I have ever had and I have come back for it many many times, it is just consistently great. My partner and I have also tried all their curries through out the years and they are all amazing. The food is definitely best when dining in but take away has been very good, too. The staff is super friendly and helpful with dietary requirements. I am already looking forward to our next visit. I can just highly recommend going...
