BOOtoo — Restaurant in Perth

Went here for lunch, looked like a pizza place however we were told there was no pizza till the evening. That was fine since they have burgers and some other food on the menu. We asked if there was a brunch menu and were told it was whatever was already prepared.

My partner ordered the Ru Paul burger which was supposed to have 3 ingredients (wow not a lot but if the ingredients or can make the burger). The 3 haloumi cheese pieces were like 4mm in thickness with the regular 2 x 4cm dimension. The burger bun had an interesting beetroot taste but was flat and saggy, definitely not fresh. The rocket was minimal and wilted but I assume that happened in the sandwich press. Sauce was interesting.

I had a "Focaccia" with some cheap uninteresting salami basic cheddar cheese and another ingredient I can't remember because it probably didn't add to the taste. It came out stale and very basic for one of the most expensive items on the menu.

I also bought a hot chocolate which was super basic. If you want better just go to Source Foods down the road.

The price was astronomical for the quality of the food being served there are far better cafe and brunch spots within walking distance.

Maybe their pizza is better but if you want to charge about $50 on brunch, do not go here, just go to Source Foods, Gordon Street Garage, Flora and Fauna, Panda and Co, Little Willys the list goes on.

Staff are actually sarcastic to feedback.

A lovely restaurant and cafe. You can drop in for coffee or a delicious meal. There is seating both outside and inside. The decor is simple, rustic, and stylish. You make a choice from the menu and order at the counter. The food is brought to you when ready. The menu consists of mainly pizzas with weird and wonderful names. Other delicious food includes the ‘Boo Balls’, lasagne, and tiramisu. They also have takeaway. We have been to this restaurant three times: once for lunch and twice for dinner. Each time the food, especially the pizza, has been well presented and very tasty. The pizza is made in an impressive oven for all to see in the front of the restaurant. The pizza’s are made by an inspired and talented Italian chef. All the staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful. Each time we have been to this restaurant we have thoroughly enjoyed fantastic food and had a great time. We look forward to...

Ham and cheese croissant was really nice, as was the juice. Unfortunately my order was missing the cannolis that had been paid for. I only ordered three things, is it really that difficult for Perth businesses to get orders correct? Seems like BooTOO are too busy leaving snarky, passive-aggressive comments on people’s google reviews to actually run their business in a professional manner.

*edit - thanks for your reply, BooTOO, which was full of excuses that sound made up. If you’re out of something, try contacting the customer and offering a replacement, instead of leaving the item out with no explanation and forcing the customer to receive a DoorDash credit. Otherwise it just sounds like a made up excuse for your own incompetence.
