We went here because of the great reviews and were not disappointed!

My husband ordered the bacon and eggs and kept going on about how good the bacon was - he allowed me a tiny piece and it was delicious! On the way out we saw that they advertise their awards for amazing bacon on the front A-frame. My husband wouldn't shut up about it after breakfast so it's safe to say the awards are well-earned!

I am a huge sceptic when it comes to pancakes after suffering through some truly awful ones, but I really felt like something sweet so I took the dive. They are just divine. Perfectly soft, and didn't taste like flour! I only managed to get through one and a half simply because they were so big but I truly would have eaten every bite if I could.

The coffee, which was hit and miss throughout Port Douglas, was fantastic.

Service was friendly and efficient.

All in all the best place of the 5 cafes we tried for breakfast in our stay by a...

The boss Tom who treats the employees very awful. He said need to get his permission to have lunch. Employees always over 5 hours without any break time. When he couldn’t handle pressure. He will start to yell at the employees. One waitress even quit the job during the work. The other one wasn’t have break time and lunch over 5.5 hours losing sugar , felt dizzy. The employee just took one bite sandwich. Tom said: who told you can have lunch ??!!! The employee answers almost faint , what do you want ? He was yelling back : I AM THE BOSS !!!! They also don’t pay legally. When the employee requires pay correctly. They dismissal the employee. Don’t you think why they keep change the name of cafe ? It was named Monkey Joes Or 4877. If you go there and see different name. Maybe they try to hide something- they don’t pay tax and super for employees. Please spend your...

This place was horrific, 7 staff members standing around doing nothing, for a not so busy cafe, potentially could run with three staff on, staff where polite which is always good the food I ordered…. Was… absolutely… Disgusting; eggs Benedict was two hard boiled eggs that stared back at me; it was like they where drowning in hollandaise sauce the toast, yes I know traditionally eggs Benedict is with English muffins but they went with toast and the toast was not even toasted properly it was suffocated by the amount of Hollandaise sauce The server looked at the plate bought out and the look on the servers face said it all “I wouldn’t eat that” Like yaaay! For big portion sizes but no one asked for high cholesterol and diarrhoea on a plate. But polite staff so...

This place seems to have changed hands from when the owners cared about creating a quality experience for customers. I got Eggs Benny and was 0% happy but didn’t have the time or patience or desire to go complain and wait for another. The Benedict sauce definitely comes from a store bought bottle, I’ve never had Benedict sauce from a bottle before - Very fake taste and the consistency is just like mayonnaise. The poached eggs were both over-cooked. One of them had gone completely dry inside. The other one was only slightly soft, but not enough to run out. The sourdough bread seems to be store bought loaf bread too. Not like Sourdough I’ve always experienced at other cafes.

This morning my partner and myself went to monkey Joe's for breakfast before heading back down to Cairns a d honestly I can't recommend this cafe enough. The staff are so friendly and very welcoming as well as super helpful! The food was absolutely delicious and came out to the table in a really timely fashion which was so good considering we were both starving haha Everything we ordered from the juice, coffee to the food was absolutely delicious! If your ever passing through port or even up there for the weekend I highly recommend stopping into this cafe it is very worth it
