When in Port Douglas (my favourite holiday destination) my friend & I always eat at Cafe Fresq many times, the food is great and the staff are always so friendly which would be difficult as they are always full of customers from young to the elderly, ordering from a wide variety of lovely offers on their menu & are caring enough to cater to the needs of those that are Gluten Intolerant - Celiac Disease & they also have vegetarian food although I am not sure about Vegan. They have a daily juice which is usually a mixture of 2 or 3 of the Beautiful Local Fresh Fruits available. Breakfast availability is all day, which is perfect for those late risers after a big night out & who doesn't love a magic meal prepared & cooked & served to you & you don't even have to clean or wash up. Followed by a lovely range of coffee's if you can fit one in or go for a wander around town and call back in when you can! Do yourself & friends & family a favour and call in, you'll find yourself a regular, like we do,...

Quite overpriced compared to other cafes in Port Douglas. Food was okay but nothing to rave about. I was quite shocked by the price of adding things i.e +$8 for bacon.. like really? 8 dollars...!? I could buy a whole pack for that price. And mind you on some other dishes adding bacon was 8.50..? (Inconsistent much). Also, having a "dine-in" fee of $4 for "takeaway" items... Am I buying the cutlery too? Service was sub-par, just felt like the waitress was pushing us to add things to our order and spend more money. Do yourself a favour and go next door to the bakery where the service is much better and you don't feel like you're getting ripped off. Surprised how busy this place gets considering. Overall this place is just 'somewhere to eat' but...

Very lovely staff! They were understaffed and upfront about it, meaning they weren't doing juices, smoothies or milkshakes. This was a little disappointing as I was hoping for a juice but they were honest and lovely about it. The service was attentive considering they were understaffed. Lovely outdoor setting. What brings the rating down is my food was only okay. Iced coffee wasn't very cold - I needed to ask for extra ice, and even then it wasn't great (milk maybe needed to be in a colder fridge?) & I had the spicy scrambled eggs with salmon. Eggs lacked spiciness and flavour, excess butter on toast. I would return for the service and give the food another shot to see if it was...

Cafe Fresq is a very good place in Port Douglas for breakfast! The staff are friendly, the food is great and the value is reasonably good. The cooks know how to make the perfect Eggs Benedict! They used to offer Eggs Benny with smoked salmon. While that is sadly not currently on the menu, the mushroom option is a very good substitute. The Irish ladies that own and operate this business know what they are doing and do it very well indeed! The staff who served us were friendly and professional. This is a busy place for breakfast and lunch but the food and service never disappoint. Keep doing what you are doing as we love coming here every time we are in Port Douglas :-)

One of the best coffee in town. Different options for everyone, vegetarian and veggie food. Also is pet friendly 🥳😸🐶 Easy to order and fast service, however is hard to find a table. Prepare your pocket because it's expensive.

Unfortunately didn't have a great experience this morning. All the staff felt rushed, making it hard to feel relaxed, and we waited quite a long time for our food to come. My partner's coffee was good, but his food was not. The bruschetta was sitting on completely soggy bread, and didn't have a lot of flavour so after a bite he was done. My eggs Benedict looked great, but the only flavour was the salty bacon. I still ate most of it though. The waitress didn't ask about the meal that was left, and we only got asked after we paid. Don't normally like rating places poorly, but unfortunately it may have just been a bad day for them.
