The Cafe 66 Breakfast was by-far one of the best ‘Big Breakfasts’ I’ve had anywhere to date. Although it’s not advertised as a big breakfast, and also lacks a few items usually reserved for a big breakfast, the amount of bacon provided per plate and the exceptionally prepared eggs made up for what was missing. Included in the price is a coffee or juice; both of which are of the highest quality and taste absolutely awesome. To top it off, not only is the customer service meaningful and caring, there is a sticker outside on the window that states Cafe 66 support breastfeeding. Anyone who is the least bit interested in politics of any sort knows of the constant arguments regarding whether breastfeeding in public should be allowed. The obvious answer is yes, and it’s always awesome to see a local business supporting the greater good. Great work guys and I’ll see you next time I’m in town!

Loved the enclosed outdoor seating. The waitresses were very lovely and check in to see if your table is in need of anything. I love how they bring the parmesan cheese to the table and grate it in front of you. The food was so yummy and served piping hot. The pasta was incredible and obviously made in house and was fresh. The meatballs were bursting with flavour and were so easy to eat. The only thing I would have changed were the tables which did have a slight cafe feel to them over being a nice dining restaurant but that aside.....the wait time was short....the service was on point...the food delicious and all around a lovely dining experience. Would recommend for both a family dinner or a nice date nite.

Hubby and I came here twice during our stay in Port Mac. We had big breakfast for breakki and then came back for pasta as lunch. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing. We were not very hungry so we only ordered one pasta to share. Surprisingly, the chef split the pasta into two plates for us. It is so lovely and we feel so welcomed. Thank you so much! What a shame that we live 6 hours away in Brisbane, would love to come back regularly otherwise.

Had great expectations for this restaurant but unfortunately that wasnt our experience. We happened to book in on a Thursday night which is pasta night (where every second pasta dish ordered is $10).

The place was very busy so we didn't think much of it when our food wasn't served quickly. However, I then realised that tables who ordered much later than us had their entrees, then their mains, at which point, we had neither. I asked the waitress about this, to which her response is that they are very busy, so I said that i understood that but it didn't explain why other tables after us received their food first. Anyhow, she said she would check. But no one came back for another 15 mins, so I hailed down another waitress to ask a similar question. She must've passed on the message, because the original waitress then reappeared... Not with an explanation or update, but to retake our orders. From scratch. Without a single word of apology. This was about an hour in sitting at the table with only our drinks.

We eventually received our food. Still no apologies. Food was decent and tasty. But by then we were a bit over it unfortunately.

The table next to us (who arrived later than us but finished two courses before we even received any of our food) said to us, as they left, that we should ask for compensation. But since we still ate the food, we didn't make a fuss. We suspected that the waitress didn't even dare to tell the manager or owner about what happened.

The final blow came at the check out when the totals didn't add up. We queried it and it turns out they omitted to charge two of the pastas at the special $10. On pasta night when it was busy?! They fixed the error but again, no apologies or anything whatsoever.

We may have just been unlucky, but if you visit on pasta night, be prepared to wait, and perhaps pay attention...

DO NOT COME HERE IF BUSY!,Came to this restaurant after seeing it on google, words cannot describe this place. We made a reservation for 6.30 and were seated by 6.20. Thus far everything was normal, we ordered food and sat there waiting, however after 20min the food had not arrived and after 30min tables who ordered their food after us started to recieve theirs. Seeing this we asked the waiter who took our order if she knew what was happening with our food. She told us she'd check with the kitchen. 30min later we hadn't seen the waiter again and so asked one of her colleagues the same question. 10min later the waiter who took our order came up and asked for our order again, as if we had just been seated and not already been waiting for an hour. When the food finally arrived all hope of salvaging a bad experience dissapeared, the spagehtti bolognese was incredibly watery and the rest of the pasta was nothing worth noting. As we paid the bill the same lady who took our original order served us, and over charged us by $35, upon further inquiry she seemed confident she had not made a mistake only to discover she had not applied the Pasta Night deal that the entire restaurant of customers was using (incredibly full upstairs and downstairs). After all of this commotion, there were no apologies made. 3 hours of my life I will...

From the moment we walked into this charming restaurant, we were greeted with warm smiles that set the tone for a delightful evening. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued. Their attentiveness and genuine friendliness created an atmosphere that was both relaxed and inviting.

The menu was a culinary adventure waiting to be explored! Every dish we ordered was not just food; it was a masterpiece. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, showcasing a careful blend of creativity and passion in every bite. It’s clear that the kitchen prides itself on quality ingredients and preparation.

We enjoyed the garlic prawns which was an absolute highlight—perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Each morsel burst with flavours and left us eagerly discussing what we would try next on our return visit! (Hurry up Dec 2025)

To top it off, the ambiance was a cozy and comfort, making it the perfect setting for our dinner. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a lovely evening out , or even a fabulous breakfast this place is definitely a must-visit when in Port Macquarie .The service was impeccable, the food delightful, and the staff a true gem of hospitality. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you to Phil and your...
