To those who are chinese and is craving for Chinese food, I may not speak for all, but may I suggest, for your consideration, to perhaps request for less salt and/or sweetness for the food when placing order. I am unsure if this is doable, but if it is, you may want to consider doing this. They have wide range of food varieties and I gotta say, the dishes we ordered tasted good, however because of the level of saltiness and sweetness, it sort of covers up the actual taste of the meat. The food served was pipping hot and there is this "wok hey" taste that to those who knows what is "zi-char/ tze-char" will know that this is sort of important in our stir fried food. However, I would still say the food tasted good and it satisfied my cravings for Chinese food.

4.9.2025 We stopped for dinner whilst in Port Macquarie on holidays - the hospitality, service and food was exceptional. The pricing for the meals is great too! Best Chinese we've had in a long while and we'll definitely stop in next time we are in town! We had the special fried rice, garlic combination, sweet & sour pork and seafood omelette. There was enough food for 4 adults. Did I mention that the food was amazing? The dining room was spacious and well set out - the decor is charming. They do dine in, delivery and take away. They also provide containers if you find the food coma too intense!

Really enjoyed our meal. Very efficiently run the staff were friendly and at the same time worked continually to keep the place well presented and the tables clean. A little side issue the people who come as Menulog type carriers are often very poorly dressed one lady seemed to be in pink pyjamas they " hang around" the tables usually on the phone distracting from the ambiance of the restaurant Section and the diners enjoying their meals. Perhaps they should wait up the front where the takeaways are delivered. Love your wall of China

I have never been one to complain about poor service or bad food but quite frankly this is not just a matter of opinion, this is a public safety announcement. Last night was my first and most definitely my last time dining at this establishment. The service was not too bad at the beginning (but that soon changed) and the food came within 20 minutes, which is acceptable. The food arrived and my dish was subpar at best and had minimal flavour and was a horrid consistency. My friend ordered spring rolls, which i honestly could not even come close to trying to identify what the hell was in that and then she ordered honey chicken which was as dry as the waitresses enthusiasm. We were all a bit bar hum bug about our meals and not even close to satisfied, however considering the prices were completely outrageous we didn't feel like we could leave it, being university students. I was rummaging around in my meal trying to find something that resembled a vegetable and what did i find... CHICKEN! In a vegetarian chow mein, i mean come on people. I told the waitress about this and she merely said oh thats a shame isn't it. I mean, the audacity! She made no effort to address the situation or to ensure my experience was turned around and made positive by either offering to pay for the meal or at the very least replace the meal or offer something else from the menu on the house. What happened to the customer is always right ?! Especially when there is fat proof (in the form of a large piece of chicken) in front of you. To make matters worse, i have been unable to leave the bathroom majority of the morning (no need to explain further but you get the drift). I have never encountered anything like it, I urge you all to save your money and your stomach lining from the horrific experience of dining at Wall of China. Is for...

The food here is always great and I know the restaurant's focus is on take-away. However, I booked and ate at your restaurant last Saturday night for a simple birthday dinner. We got there at 5pm and were seated at the same time as a walk-in group. They were seated first. Their entrees came out promptly-the waitress nearly gave them to us- and ours didn't show until well into the meal. First main came out without rice, 2nd main came out - still no rice. We asked twice for the rice and three times for the spring rolls entree. At 6pm we were asked by staff for our table as more bookings were coming in. Had to get uneaten food put into take-away containers. The walk-in group were still seated and eating as we left and they were seated against a wall, not in the centre of room like us. Really disorganized and we weren't told about the one hour turn around for the table and there were only three groups in the restaurant. Food was great but service was really sub-par and we shouldn't have to finish a restaurant meal at home. There were four other perimeter tables that we could have had to allow for the large party booking at 6pm. Still will use Great Wall for take-away but will eat in at a more organized restaurant in future. Really...

I was there in Febr 2023 with my family. It was supposed to be a great dinner. The very first impression of the table setting should have set off a red flag in my had - red plastic (!!!) bowls to put food in. After all, China is porcelain or ever faience! We ordered 5 types of starters and five different main dishes. Everything tastet the same - salty. Only salty. No sour-sweet, sour, sweet or spicy flavors. Nothing smelled appetizing. We couldn't eat it, althought we all love Chinese cuisine. The manager of the restaurant did not want to acknowledge our comments. She said, that we are not familiar with Chinese cuisine... Well, I've travelled several continents, visited dozens of countries in the world and in fact I don't know about such "chinese" cuisine, separated by a WALL, even by a GAP, from the real tasty, delicious Chinese cuisine. I wholeheartedly do not recommend it! I wholeheartedly advise against visiting this place! We left our dishes almost untouched, paid almost 200 $ and...
