Turned upto the venue, our booking had not been written in the book, luckily there was a table available, we ordered a cheesy garlic bread to start, it took about 25 minutes to arrive we were left with only unused cutlery from the customer's before us and their unused plates. My partner ordered the chicken carbonara and I ordered the seafood platter with half a lobster, at no stage were we informed of any extensive wait times, an hour after our entree the mains arrived, at this stage we still had no cutlery, my platter contained 3 sad looking prawns that were well above room temp, 3 small oysters, 3 "mussels", 3 "scollops" and assorted fried goods, the mussels were completely dried/dehydrated and not consumable, the scallops were rubbery and overcooked, the precuitto wrapped prawns were soggy, the salmon and battered fish was nice, the oysters were quite salty so may of been brined before service. Salad was nice with a tolerable dressing. The lobster was cheap so I wasn't expecting much but it was extremely overcooked, tough in some areas and chalky in the tail for $100 it was dissapointing, my partners pasta was really salty she was unable to eat it all, we got a doggy bag for the pasta so I could alter it when we got home. I informed the waitress, and she said she would tell the kitchen, no apology or discount offered. Presentation wise it didn't look to bad but the taste was dissapointing. Won't be back.. only gave so many stars as the young gentleman waiter was friendly and apologetic for the cutlery situation and quickly rectified it and he always made sure our drinks needs were catered for promptly well done to him..

I was seated right at the entrance to the toilets & my chair was actually partially blocking it, so that patrons were brushing my chair when walking past. See pic. There were many spare tables but I was seated here for unknown reasons. My entrees were lovely; however, my main, chilli & garlic prawn linguine ($26), was just one big bowl of dry pesto pasta with prawns on top. No mention of pesto on the menu. I wouldn’t have ordered this as I don’t like pesto. There was no chilli flavour whatsoever, & there were large raw rock-hard cloves of garlic strewn through the pasta. I simply ate the prawns & left the pasta uneaten. I asked for the menu to check that there was no mention of pesto & then complained. The manager apologised but did not offer anything to remedy the situation, considering I didn’t get a main meal, even though I paid nearly $30 for one. I suggested that the menu be changed. I complained at checkout too but I still paid the full bill. I won’t be back here again. UPDATE: The manager’s response has only reinforced my review of 1 star. None of that happened. I was forced to take that table because I was told everything else was taken but most of the restaurant ended up being vacant for the whole time. I was NEVER offered to have my meal re-cooked; and how is it possible to advise you I didn’t like pesto if the menu didn’t mention it, and I couldn’t tell until I tasted it. I could go on & on but this response has enraged me. I have not lied or exaggerated at any point.

I Think I Just Met My Soulmate (And It’s a Steak) Okay. So. I went to The Grill Port Mac and ordered food like a functioning adult (yay me). And let me just say—THE STEAK. Oh my gosh. That thing could solve world peace. Like, if steak could talk, this one would be whispering sweet nothings in my ear and I’d be blushing. The gravy? Chef’s kiss. It wasn’t just gravy. It was a warm, emotional experience. Like if a hug had flavor. The chips? Golden, crispy, potato-y rectangles of joy. Basically edible happiness. Now the salad… okay, let’s talk. It was fine. Like, not bad bad. But definitely gave “I’m only here because someone made me come.” I didn’t even really try it because, respectfully, the steak was stealing the show and I wasn’t about to ruin that energy. The service was chill and consistent. Like, they weren’t overly intense but also didn’t abandon me like my New Year’s resolutions. Overall? Banging meal. Slightly haunted salad. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I name my future dog after this steak? Maybe.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Grill, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern sophistication and cozy charm close to the water which creates an intimate atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs.

The menu is a carefully crafted symphony of flavors, offering a delightful fusion of grilled meats traditional and innovative culinary techniques.

I started with the seared scallops, and it was a revelation. The flavors danced on my palate, and the presentation was a work of art. For the main course, I opted for the Eye Fillet medium rare, and it exceeded all expectations. The quality of the ingredients and the precision in cooking were evident in every bite now its my sons favorite steak.. Thank you Chef!!!

The menu caters to a variety of tastes, including vegetarian options that are just as impressive.

The service at The Grill deserves special mention. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the culinary creations they serve.

Our server guided us through the menu with enthusiasm, making excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience.

To complement the exquisite meal, the wine selection is extensive, offering a perfect pairing for every dish. The waitress was helpful in suggesting a wine that complemented our chosen dishes, elevating the overall dining experience.

In addition to the exceptional food and service, the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of The Grill, from the stylish presentation of each dish to the seamless coordination of the staff, it's clear that this establishment takes pride in providing a top-tier dining experience.

While The Grill may not be on the higher end of the price spectrum, the experience it offers is worth every penny. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that leaves a lasting impression.

if you're looking for a restaurant that combines impeccable cuisine, inviting ambiance, and outstanding service, look no further than The Grill. It's a gastronomic haven that raises the bar for fine dining. I can't wait for the opportunity to return and savor more of their culinary delights!

Thank you to the Grill Team!!! well done..

Regards...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant that exceeded my expectations in several key areas. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this establishment prioritizes customer satisfaction and family-friendly experiences.

The food was absolutely great. Each dish we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing a variety of culinary techniques and fresh ingredients. The menu offered a diverse selection, ensuring that there was something for everyone in our group, including options for children. The presentation of the dishes was also noteworthy, making each meal visually appealing.

One of the standout features of this restaurant is its kid-friendly environment. The staff were accommodating and attentive to our children’s needs, providing high chairs and kid-friendly menu options without hesitation. This made our dining experience much more enjoyable as parents, knowing that our kids were well taken care of.

Parking was another highlight of our visit. The restaurant offers easy parking options, which is often a concern when dining out, especially with children in tow. We found ample space right near the entrance, making it convenient to get in and out without any hassle.

The customer service at this restaurant was exemplary. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to respond to any requests we had during our meal. Their attentiveness contributed significantly to our overall positive experience.

In summary, I had an excellent time at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to families looking for a great place to eat. With delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere for kids, easy parking, and outstanding customer service, I am already looking forward to visiting again on our...

They failed to notify us when our table was ready and waited 45 minutes to let us know they ran out of the fish we’ve ordered. To add salt to the wound, they took a further 45 minutes to deliver our food. After we’ve asked 3 times and having to wait 1.5 hours for food with no coherent communication about what’s going on (note: they told us their oven broke only after we complained and waited more than 1 hour with a promise of our food ‘coming soon’) or a courtesy of having an option to go somewhere else, we did loose our patience. When we finally did get our food, we only received some of the things we’ve ordered. Meanwhile, the party next to us, which arrived half hour after we’ve arrived, had already eaten by this time. When we filed major complaints to the manager, he was so concerned that I was going to ask him for not paying our bill. He said he could only deduct soft drinks from our bill. It’s hard to believe they even tried to bargain and made us feel like we’re trying to get free food! When your business screwed up this badly, would you care about saving few dollars? Or would you try to salvage a potential to get a repeat business? After we settled our bill and we’re on our way out, I could still hear one of them asking the manager (about us) loudly, ‘Did they pay?’ I would’ve been a little bit more sympathetic if they’re honest about their mismanagement early on. They did not even acknowledge their bad management at all! Very little professionalism. I wish I can give minus in the rating. The food was definitely not worth the time nor money. This is money grabbing business at its worst, with nothing to deliver. Do yourself a favour, spend your hard earned...
