Noshtalgia Cafe Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Macquarie

Food was so good, we really enjoy this cafe. But today while there a customer brought a dog out the front of the building and I am guessing they are regulars. The staff went out and patted the dog one of them more then once and on observation we watching them she walked back in and did not wash her hands just continued to get napkins knives and Forks and set tables and the second time she went out came back in and used the register and got a slice out of the cake fridge.

Another staff member went out and she came back and we think sanitized her hands but after patting a dog in a food service hands should be washed with water and soap.

Staff were lovely. Helpful, efficient and unobtrusive. Great food options. The Menu had some basics, some fancier items and the daily specials were impressive We had the Seafood Crepe and the Seafood Risotto. Just beautiful. Even the touches on the salad, not just slap some leaves on the side, but an actual salad with ingredients and effort, topping it with roasted sweet potato curls, very impressed. An accidental discovery, after we were dropped off by our car service courtesy van at the entrance to the arcade. Coffee, Dirty chai, raisin toast + a bacon & egg sandwich - omg, all sensational, as were the staff. Fast forward 3 hrs, and we went back for lunch, as we had seen Lamb's Fry and bacon on the menu. Above and beyond delicious, and very very busy. The locals obviously know about this unassuming little Coffee shop. We cannot recommend Noshtalgia highly enough. Oh!
