Creperie Restaurant — Restaurant in Queensland

What a shame, have been waiting so long to be able to try this place because operating hours listed don't match actually open hours. The food was so disappointing, purchased a variety of crepes and disliked all of them. The texture is to thick and more resembles a pancake, the filling is flavourless, asparagus is tinned, just overall a bad experience. Considering the place is only open 1 day a week everything should be fresh. Mackay is so small everyone knows each other and is lacking in options so it's not surprising majority of the reviews are positive which unfortunately is not a true reflection of the food served.

Only positive is that the staff were...

Party of 4, 2 savoury 2 desert crepes. I got the steak, onion and mushroom crepe in white sauce with salad. All of our crepes came quickly and the 2 savoury crepes were piping hot.

The steak inside my crepe, however, was tough and basically impossible to cut and chew through. Sauce was somehow bland and overwhelming at the same time??

Another of us got the seafood crepe despite the warnings from the reviews and it tasted suspicously fishy. Prawns were tiny, tasted strange, clearly imported frozen prawns.

Desert...

Came here for the first time and wasn’t disappointed!

Was bustling and busy, older waiter is hilarious, service was fabulous, a lot of options, very reasonably priced.

We had the chicken mushroom, seafood and Nutella and banana, lemon and sugar, then 3 takeaway, wasn’t even close to $100

The inside of the place is a little dated but it kind of plays into the whole feel of the place, my friend who I went with said it looks the same as when she was young haha, let’s call it nostalgic

Only downside it’s only open...
