Eagle Heights Bakery — Restaurant in Queensland

You would expect a bakery that opens at 9:30 to have their cabinets full of their specialty bread. Went there with my parents this morning, and was extremely disappointed. If you want business, you might want your bakers to start earlier to ensure there is a variety for your customers. The sausage rolls in the warmer looked burnt as well, I'm kinda glad we didn't buy anything from there. Needs majot improvement. I’m giving these stars for the bread only as it’s the best bread we have ever had and is top notch quality, I cannot say the same about the meat pies, sausage rolls and pastry sweets. The caramel slice was inedible not even my kids ate it which is a shocker, the meat pies were very dry, over salted and the steak filling contained zero steak pieces just mush. Well I don’t like leaving bad reviews and this is more a heads up for someone. I have now gone out 3 times over the last 2-3 years to buy some sourdough bread and every time I got there when they opened for the day the bread wasn’t ready or almost sold out or only limited sort available. So maybe call first I think because you can’t be too early and you can’t be too late either. Hard one if you take a 40 min drive for nothing.
