NaMoo Cafe — Restaurant in Tamborine Mountain

I would highly recommend you avoid this at all costs.

To start off the waitress that came and served our coffees and food looked like she was being held against her will. She would not smile or engage with any of the group. She looked angry and upset even when members of our group were thanking her for dropping the food off.

Then my gluten free food was dropped off and the toast was not even toasted, I asked the girl before I ordered if they were coeliac safe which she explained they were and when they toast, they use aluminium foil to avoid cross contamination (she was very helpful and reassuring, I always check before dining somewhere). 2 slices of bread were put on my plate, not even warmed, no butter, nothing. I went and spoke to the owner who toasted the bread but I could hear everyone arguing and disagreeing out the back.

All the food came out at separate time and with long intervals in-between. Last my sons came out, and his brother pointed out the egg was raw and not cooked properly, 1 slice of bread was toasted and the other was not. My eldest son then complained and asked for a refund which the owner did do and obliged for 2 meals.

I left as I was appalled and tried to find my son something safe to eat for lunch and left the party there finishing their food, they said the owner and staff were staring at them for the remainder of the time and made everyone feel very uncomfortable.

The food that did get eaten was sub par and no where near the 4.8 stars that has been rated on google.

We had a fantastic lunch here today and we left pleased with our decision to dine here.

We had the Korean Beef Burger 🍔 with Roast Potatoes 🥔, the Original Fried Chicken Burger 🍔 with Roast Potatoes 🥔, a Banana Smoothie 🍌 and a Mocha Frappe ☕️ 🍫 🧊. As per pictures.

The 🇰🇷 Beef Burger was marinated very nicely and had a beautiful flavour to it. There was alottttt of beef- filled to the absolute brim which was great value! The brioche bun was fresh too! Bit of salad on the inside- but let's be honest you get it for the meat!!

The Fried Chicken burger was perfectly cooked and being fried it surprisingly was not oily or greasy at all which we give a solid 10/10 for. Same brioche bun as the 🇰🇷 Beef Burger.

The Mocha Frappe was a treat- and daen did it go down well! I was hesitant to purchase it as i saw the price was $11 (to me that's a bit on the expensive side) however it lived up to its price! A great shot of coffee and not too much chocolate syrup was used which is great (no sickly drive home down the mountain). Came with some flake crushed on top which just made it- I stirred it in and continued sipping!

The banana smoothie I didn't get to try as it disappeared not long after I took the photo 😅😂.

Clean tables and quick service. Only thing unavailable today was the Terriyaki Chicken burger 🍔 as the kitchen ran out of bok bok 🐔.

I rate this place and I'll be back for sure- keep up...

I don’t usually write google reviews but this cafe definitely deserves the recognition. There are so many cafes at mount tambourine but this is definitely my go-to cafe. Entering the cafe, I was immediately greeted with warmth and friendliness from the staff. This cafe has a very homely feel and lots of delicious food. I’ve been to this cafe several times and the food and service has always remained consistent. The scones are warm, buttery and so fluffy, and when paired with the jam and whipped cream, tastes like little bites of heaven. The coffee is also really good too, you can tell that quality ingredients were used. The latte had a strong coffee aroma and a milky and smooth taste, combined with the scones, it made such a lovely breakfast. The cafe owners really are such lovely people and are always so welcoming.
