A long while ago I use to go to 'HJ's very often with my disable clients on their requests. And of course😩...I had to buy a meal to join them!😦😲 And...I've got 'hooked' up to 'HJ's' unhealthy food while outing there😕. I was visiting 'HJ's at least 2x a week,😨😱 buying b'fasts 🍳, burgers🍔, chips🍟, & zero coke 🍫 or coffee🍵. When I saw that I've put lots of weight on😨😲, & that I've had an 'abnormal' cravings 4 burgers🍔😲 & salty chips😰🍟, I've woken up to myself. Please, don't take me wrong. I am not whingeing about H'J's' Staff or services, no, they're great😊...But not for me anymore😉😎😄. By quitting 'fast food' places, I am healthier, happier😊😃, & I've saved buckets loads of money.☺💰My partner and I, we prepare our meals at home, and 99% we eat 🍽🍞🌶🥒🥕🍳🥘🍲🥗☕🍵 at home 🏠😊. It costs us much less in the long run.😉😜 My weight is sort of OK.🤔😉Most of ppl. is aware that FFood Outlets😈 are luring customers, mainly parents with children 👨👩👧, (by awarding their kiddies with cheap, plastic 'junk toys', to bring them back, & to buy their unhealthy, full of refined sugars & high with fat & sodium foods!) When on the streets, you can easily pick up 'Made in Fast Foods & Take Aways' ppl. Mostly the young-one's😞😩, but also a middle age ppl. They're caring flabs of fat around their waist and else😕😲 I think that 🤔 those 'fast foods' ppl. are simply t o l a z y to cook at home & to clean the dishes after!😩 I guess, they're different times now, but that is not an excuse. I never laugh at obese ppl. or make a cruel comments abt how they look like... Cos, in our western sociaty it is a huge problem & tragedy. An ongoing junk food addiction that isn't good at all.😣😲 But... it's those ppl.'s choices and $$$ of course. Also, the reasons to become obese can vary. Certain meds for medical problems too. When I was a child in 1970's, I was skinny, healthy & full of energy. I never ate fast foods, cos there weren't any in my country of origin. We all ate meals prepared and cooked at home. And they're full of fat, but natural-one, the good fat, not like nowdays. As children, we walked to school, had 4 hrs a week of PHE, climed trees, run & chased each other, swam in the river, ice skated & skied during winters. We played outdoors till darkness, without our parents worry or supervision. Of course they knew where we're🤗, but they weren't concerned cos their set a certain rules for us to obey. Period. They trusted us & that was it. (Not like today's parents?😲😬) When you've got hurt playing, you've run back home, & mum would splash metho, or hydrate peroxide on your injury, & she would say: 'There you go, all done!' And you went straight back off to play outside with kids again,☺ forgeting about the pain &... injuries!😉😊 As I said, we all ate at home or at school, & an h e a l t h y meals. We're strong & fit. There weren't any crazy & expensive 'gym's', or other fitness activities places. Why? They weren't necessary. As a young woman in 1980's, I ate fatty, (I was born in a very cold European country) but healthy home cooked meals. Since 1988, I live in Australia & things & people changed. Obesity epidemy it's today's worlwide's scrouge😬😩. I don't really know what is going on?!🤔🤐 Or, maybe I do know? Many of young ppl. like to eat out & have a meal ready on a plate. They also live on credit. If this doesn't change & very soon (!) our youngsters will be dying from an old ppl. diseases, & filling forms for bankruptcy. I hope that they'll start to learn how to do meals at home, & saving money? But not from those stupid 'MKR's', & other pre-staged cooking shows on TV, but from an old recipes left by our mothers & grandmothers, etc. And... In a 'Real Cooking Show'- in their own kitchen hey!😊😉 Also, I don't see that fast food companies will be willingly making healthier food options. Majority of young -one's are already addicted to an 'yummy' fatty, quick fixes/foods. But as I said before- of course everyone's got choice. Cheers, from a 'vintage' Polish 🇵🇱💒🌲☺/Aussie...
Read moreWe are in Caneland and heading back to Moranbah today which is a 2hrs drive when my kid request some food and wanted onion rings and double cheese burgers from Hungry Jacks as he is craving for cheese burgers. So we pre ordered it on line 2x double cheese burgers for my kid and wife, 1x rebel whopper cheese burger for me, 1x large battered onions for my kid, drinks, chips etc. prior to getting to their store as we still have 10mins still chasing stuff in Caneland thinking it would be okay by the time we get there and that wouldn't take that long..So after that we just drop by to this store to check our order and when we see and checked the screen of ordering it says that our order is still being prepared under order no.9766.So we waited for 30mins when someone shouted for numbers..We thought it was ours for our number is out of the screen already but didn't show up for pick up..So we asked the counter and said it was for a different bloke..We waited again for 15mins and coz my son is hungry and getting impatient..I asked again and the lady in the counter and she ask me if I already had my order..Which is a bit confusing for she saw me asking for my food twice and all of those other customers who come before us and just recently ordered on to which we are the first there are all gone now..So I assume she know we are still waiting for our order..That is why I am asking for we have not received anything yet..Then I saw their crew where are a bit puzzled about what had happened to my order..But we are in a hurry coz we need to head off urgently back to Moranbah as we don't want to get driving at dark..As we wanted to fast paced it and still they all of them do not even know what our orders where..They are frantic and it is very disorganized even asked me what did I order..Nothing knew where my order is..I was even asked twice and I even show my online order, eventhough Order no.was on their screen being prepared not long ago..Worst part still when we had our order received.. they still got it wrong with one item..They put only 1xcheeseburger wich is not even a doublecheese burger ...Really disappointed. We just head home and didn't argue as we are not really happy about our experience..The bloke who handed me the food said really sorry for it. But this supposed to be rectified as this is the first time I encountered this on this store and just really feel bad and sorry for this crew that time..They are like all in a hurry but don't even know what was happening..atleast it took me 1hr of waiting but the simple pre ordered meal with some other people who just recently walked in had theres even before mine and I monitored their ordering screen which suddenly had my order just...
Read moreI've been using this particular Hungry Jacks at least once a week for 5 years.
I work next door, and order off the app to save myself waiting around. Often times I place the order, wait a couple of minutes, and walk over to collect my order so I can continue with my work.
I've never had any issues with this method, at least once a week, for 5 years.
Today an incident occurred when a burger I ordered wasn't available. Once the order was placed, I waited a couple of minutes (no more than 3-5 minutes) and my partner went to collect the meal so I could continue with my work.
20 minutes went by before my partner called me that they could not make the burger I had ordered, and so I accepted the compromise and waited another 10 minuted before my partner called again, saying that she felt the staff were intenionally stifling the order from being made.
I walked over from next door to see why I had been waiting 30 minutes for my order and why it was still not ready, and the attitude from the "manager" was appalling.
After some semantics about "what is an assistant manager", I was trying to speak to someone higher in the chain of command so that they could be notified of how their "manager" was handling and escalating a minor issue because of her appalling attitude.
When I asked to give me the number to a superior, she gave me the number to the shop she was managing, and answered the phone herself (very funny).
After this display of immaturity, this manager, Amy, called her superior and proceeded to manipulate the situation by speaking to her superior in private, and wouldn't allow me to speak at all.
She then led us out the front while on the phone to continue the discussion outside the store. Once I began to explain the issue to the superior on the phone, the manager walked back inside the shop with her phone, and slammed and locked the door in our faces.
This is honestly typical behaviour of a child in a mangers role. There was no attempt to de-escalate, no apologies, no management whatsoever.
Unfortunately, after this interaction I will be reluctant to ever use this particular Hungry Jacks again, and that is saying something, considering I have been a reocuuring weekly customer for 5...
