Today I Went to Hungry Jack’s North Rockhampton. I ordered.3 bacon delux hunger tamer with chicken royal for the 2nd burger as meals. When I received my order, I could immediately see that it was not correct because they were only two cokes and not three. I asked the girl named Mel to clarify my order. She became immediately aggressive and told me that I ordered it wrong and that she overheard me placed the order with someone else. I showed her exactly on my phone when I ordered and she then replied that it depends on the interpretation. I say to her that you cannot interpret three meals wrong and she replied. It depends on who you say it to. I then ask her to please help me as I do not understand if my order is wrong or if I ordered the wrong food. She became very agitated and did not give me time to finish my sentences constantly interrupting me and telling me that she’s been working there for five years. I told him not to get aggressive and trying to calm down. I satirising my voice at which she became very aggressive and telling me that if I Continue with my tone of voice she would have to ask me to leave. I then asked to see the manager and she was standing directly next to her, which was the Shift supervisor. She was not too friendly either. I told her that she needs to please teach the staff to listen to a client before interrupting and that I did not want anything for free. I just wanted to get my order right and would have payed for whatever I did not order before. She then turned around ordered another bacon deluxe and shoved it at me. I told them that my order was still not correct because I still only had two cokes instead of three. When I got home, the meal was still wrong as there was two large chips instead of three. Some of the burgers was ice cold and I live only 10 minutes away I felt quite embarrassed standing there with these two people being extremely rude. I know it is busy around 7 o’clock at night but they could’ve just taken the time to step aside and help me get my order correct instead of trying to Humiliate me by making me understand who the boss was there. I think Hungry Jack’s can really take the time to train the staff in dealing...
Read moreHungry Jack's on Rocky's Northside: where the ambiance of grease-stained stairs outside perfectly sets the stage for the culinary adventure that awaits within. As I bravely ventured in to satisfy the hunger of a ravenous teenager, I couldn't help but feel that I was also embarking on a journey into the depths of culinary chaos.
Upon entering, it became abundantly clear that cleanliness was merely a suggestion here, as the grime from outside seamlessly transitioned to the interior decor. Despite this ominous omen, I forged ahead, armed with the determination to quell the impending hangriness.
Alas, my patience was met with indifference as I languished by the register, waiting to be acknowledged. Just when I thought I had made a breakthrough with a young lass at the counter, my order was rudely interrupted by a cacophony of chaos as a feral staff member bellowed over me, stealing the spotlight. At that precise moment, I knew it was time to bid adieu to Hungry Jack's and seek refuge in the warm embrace of KFC.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a dining experience that combines questionable cleanliness with a side of auditory assault, Hungry Jack's on Rocky's Northside is the place for you. But for those of us with discerning palates and a desire for basic civility, perhaps a trip to the Colonel's domain is the...
Read moreIf you are travelling, as we were, don't make the mistake of stopping here for breakfast. Our focus was on the menu when we walked in, should have paid attention to the state of the place before ordering. Not sure what the health department is doing, but they sure aren't checking this place. The longer we waited for our order, the more concerned we became for our health. We seldom eat from these outlets and mistakenly believed these franchisees were required to maintain a reasonable standard. The entire place was filthy, from what I could see of the kitchen, a quick wipe down was not a high priority at the end of shift and the suggestion of a deep clean would have been met with howls of laughter from the staff. My wife had the misfortune of needing to use the restroom , the look of horror on her face when she re-emerged told me it wasn't a pleasant experience. We finally received our order of bacon and egg Turkish rolls, which bore no resemblance to the tasty photo on the menu board. I had to give them a point for managing to fit some bacon and an egg on such a tiny bun. Unfortunately I had to take the point back for what they did to the egg, we'll I think it had been an egg at some stage. I won't...
