I was surprised by my partner to a 7:30pm sitting for Valentines night on Fri whilst staying in accommodation on-site. Having arrived to an excited line-up at 7:30pm we were told that there would be a bit of a wait to be seated and to go wait in the foyer area and someone would come and get us. We had checked twice more on progress of a table and 45 minutes later on the third time walking to the check-in desk, we were greeted with the statement "Hope you haven't been waiting long" and informed the waitress of our delay. Having been customers of this restaurant several times over the past few years, we were excited for some of their amazing dishes. Drinks order was taken and about 5mins later our food order was taken. It was 20mins before we got our drink order which arrived after our entrees dishes to our table. Our mains arrived and the pork crackling was chewy (clearly made seperately from the pork but not edible). We didnt seem to be able to get drinks service again until dessert was placed down and didnt want to wait another 20mins. The tiramasu dessert was quite literally slapped on a plate, slops around the edge included and not what was stated on the menu, and previously experienced, with the cute pot and presentation. All the presentation and "norms" aside, the food was good, NOT $100 per person good and neither was the service or atmosphere being seated in a hotbox outside with louvers opened and two air cons trying to cool it down. When we checked out and were met with "Hope you had a lovely night" I informed the waitress that "we've had better". Unfortunately her response also lacked gumption and the reply was "oh sorry about that". Not one enquiry as to how they could fix their experience. I could completely understand if someone had told me the chef and wait staff walked out Fri afternoon and they'd rung in hired help because that's what it felt like. I sincerely hope they can pull it together and lift the standard to what...

Unfortunately I have to eat Gluten & Dairy free. This was NOT the place to cater for that and am very disappointed. I mistakingly thought most popular restaurants these days catered for different allergies/intolerances. Tried to order the chicken wings, nope pre-tossed with dairy. Ordered the $49 rib fillet as I thought they couldn't really stuff that up. It comes with potato salad, pre made so couldn't adjust. For. $49 steak, they sent it out with some very moist greens, possibly steamed, barely any flavour on them. Didn't even offer something to replace the potato salad. Steak was good and medium well, as ordered. Then ordered a gf desert that had a V beside it, silly me thought that meant Vegan. Nope, vegetarian. I yold them I need dairy free & they didn't advise it has dairy. Seriously. For $70 plus drinks I went home still slightly hungry and had to rush home quickly for the loo. They even tried to charge me for 2 desserts and tell me someone hadn't paid, when actually it was them that hadn't taken a dessert off that someone changed. Luckily my friend had watched everyone pay and they refunded me. It was a lovely night with my friends but it wasn't even busy and we still waited an age for meals. Waitress didn't seem super impressed about being there. Maybe she was the only one on and stressed as a result, as I said, it wasn't busy though. Won't be back. Will be advising friends with dietary requirements not to risk their health...

This restaurant was one of the ten restaurants i have been to in the last 6 months. Rock salt was a little hard to fine its in the hotel.

I was taken to my seat the water asked if i wanted drinks, i said yes please a red Cosmopolitan, its like a red gummy bear. So nice.

Then grace brought out my drinks. Grace was so polite and her energy will lighten up a room,

Food 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Entree i had the octopus. It was so soft and the flavours where perfect.

Main i had the peri peri chicken. The was one of the best mains iv had in a very long time. The chicken was cooked to perfection was juicy and tender, it worked really well with the haloumi cheese, however i loved with when you also add the Pomegranate and walnuts having a little but of everything at once really show cases this dish!

Dessert i had the Crème brûlée. I loved the Pistachio and vanilla ontop it has a thin layer of crunchy suger ontop of the Crème brûlée it was also amazing.

The service was so on point. All the staff are happy and welcoming,The cocktails where amazing i loved the 3 i had. The best long island i have ever had look at the colour in the photos perfection, the red Cosmopolitan was like a red gummy bear. The ladies would love this. The espresso martini was very strong. the only one thing this Restaurant was missing, was some nice back ground music.

If you havent tried this restaurant i can not Recommend this...

Given this is supposed to be one of the best eateries in Gladstone, I was left rather disappointed. The waitresses were friendly and the food was tasty. However, when it came to ordering dessert the experience was a little different. I felt like ice cream and that’s it, so I ordered a kids sundae without chocolate topping, I received a tiny bowl with three tiny scoops of ice cream which I enjoyed. Only to get the bill and find out I’m to be charged $17 for this tiny dessert. As you can see from the photo provided, each scoop was smaller than a tablespoon. The manager wasn’t phased with my concern and insisted that the ice cream provided was worth that much, with no apology at my disappointment or any form of a budge in price, we paid and left. Had we gone to an ice cream parlour or coles, the ice cream experience would’ve been a lot cheaper and nicer.
