IF SOMEONE STATES THEY CANT EAT SOMETHING, DON'T SERVE IT!
I went here with a colleague, he told the waitress he can't eat meat so they recommended a salad. I requested special on the board; fried chicken with peanut sauce) and was asked if i wanted rice, so I asked for special fried rice. After 30 minutes, we were both given special fried rice and my main. We were surprised he didn't get a salad, but didn't want to wait any longer. The rice was a meal on its own (all batch pre-cooked) and charged like a meal, I thought it was going to be a side. Whilst eating my friend discovered HAM in his meal! We were aghast, He spent the next 20 minutes in the toilet. They simply said sorry and asked if he wanted something else instead, he said no and told them he won't be paying for that either (pointing at his plate of food). The waitress who took the order had left so they checked the order notes and it had nothing about serving no meat and had rice instead of the recommended and requested salad. We left not long after! My meal was okay, but a little over priced for what it was, I wouldn't go back based on...
Read moreArriving in Gladstone at 9pm was happy to find a restaurant open and still serving and rang through a take away order. Advised the order would be ready in 20 minutes and on my arrival the order had just come up, spot on for timing. Purchased Chicken Satay sticks and Pad Thai with prawns and it smelt delicious! The food itself was underwhelming with three chicken sticks large and full of chicken but not coated in the satay sauce instead the sauce was served in a tiny tub on the side nowhere enough to coat the chicken, so I was left eating a lot of plain chicken. Next up my favourite Thai dish Pad Thai, prawns were succulent but the lacked flavour overall, very bland and serving lemon on the side instead of lime, and random raw red onion on top. The serving sizes were generous for the price but please serve satay sticks in sauce or if serving on the side give enough for all of the sticks not just one, add some flavour into the Pad Thai and serve with lime it makes a big difference. Service was friendly, sorry due to lack of flavour could only give three...
Read morePOV: Start with a little bit of everything. You can never go wrong with the mixed entrée. Pave the way for more scrumptiousness by moistening your mouth and gut with warm, sour and spicy tom yum (this flavour profile is JUST 💯🔥). Stay in the zone, as you feast on the fried rice with pineapple - fit for a queen, with its serving size, colourful veggies and fresh, chunky prawns. Albeit not a huge fan of duck dishes, I still find the roasted duck curry chowable.
Waiting time was just enough to chill with the night’s company as you share stories and juices - longan with longan bits and mango with basil seeds. On top of delicious food, a reason to dine in this resto is the superb teamwork and customer service by the staff members. Keep smiling, ladies!...
