Sushi Machi — Restaurant in Queensland

Just went there today, boy was I underwhelmed..

• order some beef and salmon Aburi, normally it’s lightly cooked before it’s served, but in this case they’re pre-cut and stored cold in a display case.. cold aburi and over cooked beef isn’t a good combination..

• the ordering system is confusing or lacks description, for example if you wanted to order a glass of wine the description is “class of wine” not sure if it’s a glass of moscato, etc etc.. also when you order the sushi you need to go to the cart to actually place the order instead of clicking on the sushi selecting the quantity and then clicking “order” Legit I was sitting there for 20 minutes waiting for it because I didn’t realise I had to click “cart” and then “order” 😑.

•their selection is limited not anywhere as big as other sushi trains I’ve been too.

Ah Young aka "Grace" provided exceptional A+++ service and always made sure we were looked after. Despite the peak lunch hour and crowded house, food came out really quick! Every sushi plate was also delicious with the right crispiness and sauce! - thumbs up to the head chef there. If you want to try one dish, go for the 'Hot night', its not spicy and it deserves a mention with its delightful combination that packs a punch when you devour it in one gulp. Best thing about the restaurant was that it is peanut free which worked well for our little Ruben who had fun with his first sushi train experience and the mango ice cream dessert. Incredible food, quick and friendly service and a stylish modern layout, Sushi Machi is everything you could want in a sushi restaurant and more.

The restaurant features a sushi train with a large variety of dishes, all of which can be ordered directly if needed. There are also a variety of Japanese dishes on offer, all reasonably priced. Many drinks and deserts are also on offer, with everything from Mochi icecream to chocolate souffles.
