The workers at this place are not proficient in English, and they don't understand the aspects of customer service as a result. I recently ordered a Biryani, and the flavour was very bland. When I called back, the person mentioned that he forgot to add gravy to the meal. Instead of apologising, the staff had an attitude and proceeded to say that the gravy is complimentary. But failed to understand that without adding gravy to your recipe (considering how you make Biryani), there is no flavour left. Are you serving 'white rice' ? If so, call it 'white rice' not biryani. Other restaurants add spice/gravy to the rice directly, without giving gravy separately. In your recipe, it's plain rice and gravy makes it biryani rice ? It's like ordering a 'chicken burger', without chicken, and then calling the chicken as a complimentary item. I won't return here again, as the owner wasn't cooperative.

Edit: No, this wasn't explained on the phone, as you claimed. Before someone places an order, you should try telling them, "hey, we don't have any gravy in the meal today, is that okay ?". I only realised this when I ate the meal at home. "Complaining about an item I haven't paid for?" - Bland rice is not biryani, you call it...

On arrival on a Saturday lunchtime, the staff here were so lovely. We were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and the selection, while modest is very reasonable. Prices are what you'd expect to pay. Now, the FOOD! OH MY! THE FOOD! The flavours we're devine and even the mild, had a pleasant kick. Out daughter, who ordinarily does not like spice, adored it, but eventually the spice did get the better of her, but she still raved it was the best Butter Chicken she's had. I had mild mango chicken, which had a pleasant element of spice too. Delightfully, the chicken was moist, not dry, as I have found some other Indian restaurants in Toowoomba to be. They do also cater to little ones, offering a Western selection of kids friendly foods, like chicken nuggets, chips and the like. This is a HUGE bonus to us as our 2 year old son does not care for curries. We got to have the food we love, without the complaints from him. The staff were attentive and enquired about our food, brought our daughter some milk to help settle her mouth post spices, and even the chef was enthusiastic to hear feedback. This place is definitely to be recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian. You MUST try...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Tree Indian Restaurant, located in the heart of Grand Central. The moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who were eager to accommodate my every need.

The real highlight of my visit, however, was the exceptional food. I ordered the Chicken Birtani rice, which was nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors were rich and aromatic, with each grain perfectly cooked. It was clear that the chef had put a lot of love and care into preparing this dish.

Throughout my meal, the staff continued to impress with their attentive and courteous service. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and made sure that my glass was always full.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Indian Tree Indian Restaurant. The combination of delicious food, friendly staff, and convenient location makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Grand Central. We came up to Toowoomba for the flower festival and came to the Indian Tree for a light lunch. It is a Hyderabad style restaurant. We had the Indian Tree dosa and the Keju dosa. Both were lovely. The Indian Tree tree dosa is a mix of all other dosas and was filling and most enjoyable. The Keju is a cashew marsala dosa, and was very interesting. Personally, for a little twist, I would add a few drops of tamarind chutney here and there to really add zing and balance. Sultanas would also work really well with this dosa, but sultanas are not common in southern Indian food. I would also like to comment on the accompaniments - most times these are quite ordinary and uninspiring, but here they were all very good indeed and did add significantly to the dish, so kudos to Indian Tree. We enjoyed our light lunch, the venue was pleasant and the staff both helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten from. Was also the most expensive restaurant I’ve bought Indian from. If I didn’t live so far away I would take it back and ask for my money back! The garlic naan bread was burnt. I ordered saffron rice and this is definitely not that at all! It was like they had tipped in a whole bottle of chilli in! 🤮 Even the curries (which we ordered mild) were not even close to mild. Was not edible as it started making me sick.
