The workers at this place are not proficient in English, and they don't understand the aspects of customer service as a result. I recently ordered a Biryani, and the flavour was very bland. When I called back, the person mentioned that he forgot to add gravy to the meal. Instead of apologising, the staff had an attitude and proceeded to say that the gravy is complimentary. But failed to understand that without adding gravy to your recipe (considering how you make Biryani), there is no flavour left. Are you serving 'white rice' ? If so, call it 'white rice' not biryani. Other restaurants add spice/gravy to the rice directly, without giving gravy separately. In your recipe, it's plain rice and gravy makes it biryani rice ? It's like ordering a 'chicken burger', without chicken, and then calling the chicken as a complimentary item. I won't return here again, as the owner wasn't cooperative.
Edit: No, this wasn't explained on the phone, as you claimed. Before someone places an order, you should try telling them, "hey, we don't have any gravy in the meal today, is that okay ?". I only realised this when I ate the meal at home. "Complaining about an item I haven't paid for?" - Bland rice is not biryani, you call it...
Read moreOn arrival on a Saturday lunchtime, the staff here were so lovely. We were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and the selection, while modest is very reasonable. Prices are what you'd expect to pay. Now, the FOOD! OH MY! THE FOOD! The flavours we're devine and even the mild, had a pleasant kick. Out daughter, who ordinarily does not like spice, adored it, but eventually the spice did get the better of her, but she still raved it was the best Butter Chicken she's had. I had mild mango chicken, which had a pleasant element of spice too. Delightfully, the chicken was moist, not dry, as I have found some other Indian restaurants in Toowoomba to be. They do also cater to little ones, offering a Western selection of kids friendly foods, like chicken nuggets, chips and the like. This is a HUGE bonus to us as our 2 year old son does not care for curries. We got to have the food we love, without the complaints from him. The staff were attentive and enquired about our food, brought our daughter some milk to help settle her mouth post spices, and even the chef was enthusiastic to hear feedback. This place is definitely to be recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian. You MUST try...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Tree Indian Restaurant, located in the heart of Grand Central. The moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, who were eager to accommodate my every need.
The real highlight of my visit, however, was the exceptional food. I ordered the Chicken Birtani rice, which was nothing short of phenomenal. The flavors were rich and aromatic, with each grain perfectly cooked. It was clear that the chef had put a lot of love and care into preparing this dish.
Throughout my meal, the staff continued to impress with their attentive and courteous service. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and made sure that my glass was always full.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Indian Tree Indian Restaurant. The combination of delicious food, friendly staff, and convenient location makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Grand Central. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and can't wait to go back and try more of their...
