BEWARE of false advertising on their menu.
My husband and I visited on Saturday night.
We were shocked at the extreme prices but as it was an important occasion we decided to stay.
We were seated outside in the cold. No lap blankets provided. There was heaters but due to the umbrellas, they could not bring the heaters close, so it was freezing.
My husband ordered a barrimundi fish ($59)and I ordered the “tagliatelle beef cheek ($39)”.
The tiny barrimundi was delicious but didn’t come with anything other than the fish. No vegetables, no chips, just a massive plate with a tiny piece of fish and a drizzle of sauce and tiny piece of asparagus .
The tagliatelle was served in a massive “plate’ with a very tiny centre bowl area with barely any food.
The meat was basically “mince” texture and very dry. The menu says, “slow cooked beef cheek”.
I can’t eat mince and it was hard to swallow so I just went hungry. We would normally order dessert and coffee but after the size of these dishes served as a pittance, we got up and paid to leave.
The waiter was just lovely and when we told him how disappointed we were he was insisting on us speaking to someone. We were just going to leave and never come back as that’s the “quality” of the food and tiny portions and because my husband ate my meal as he was so hungry after the tiny fish portion.
The manager did get brought over to speak to us at the insistence of the waiter.
We told him how dissapointed we were by the pasta.
He said “no one has complained in all the years we have been making this dish. Granted, we have just made a new menu and I can’t be sure it’s the same recipe. I don’t understand what you’re speaking about. We slow cook beef cheek and the “pork”
Wait we said. We don’t eat pork. It says beef cheek. We were very upset at this news obviously.
He then kept saying “once the beef and pork is cooked for 12 hours, it is then pushed through a sieve to remove any bones or any other bits. Thank you for your comments though and again you’re the only people that have complained in all these years.
That was it from him. We were horrified. Beef cheek doesn’t have bones so why did they need to “sieve the meat” PORK in the beef cheek dish! Are you kidding me 😡. We ordered slow cooked beef cheek. Slow cooked beef cheek SHOULD NOT need to be sieved. The price and the tiny food servings for a main meal are disgusting. And no vegetables and seated out on the cold.
We DO NOT recommend this place and are very concerned that they are misleading patrons and are lying about what is actually in the dish.
We would have just walked away and never come back, and never said anything, but the attitude of the manager was terrible and the fact they had pork in a beef dish is a total red flag for others.
BEWARE of this place
We went out to the market outside and bought lamb ribs for $20. This was served with a delicious papaya salad and had generous portions. Don’t bother with this restaurant, eat at the markets on a Saturday night for...

Came in a around 4pm. Waiter took me to the table asked if i wanted water? I took a bottle of still.
I decided to go with the 7 course chefs step tasting.
First was a Complimentary sour dough with this amazing butter. How ever the star of the show was this deep rich olive oil. It was so strong.
The 1st course was the tart. This was supper soft inside took me by suprise the taste was very nice.
2nd course. Was a tuna crudo. This was super fresh, i love the fact the oil they used is present at the beginning however didnt over power the tuna tast at the end.
3rd course lobster Ravioli, this was quiet firm in texture, the pasta was cooked to perfection. The sauce it came with almost was a little Coconut flavour to my taste. I couldnt feel the Champagne, too much. Was nice
4th course eye fillet. Was gooked to perfections was rare but not dripping was well rested, the romesco sauce was to die for. Very yummy!
5th course was a palate cleanser, the lemon sorbet is out of this world however what ever is in the sauce around it, is intense and amazing,
6th course was the Coconut and lime pannaacotta this was mind blowing, the best dessert i have tried. The popping candy with the well Balanced Flavour from the fruit makes this the highlight of the night for me!
7th course petit fours. It was different.
Service was very Attentive staff where welcoming and friendly, it was a little costly all up. Food wise if you just get the food its well worth it. However i brought drinks seprate and it does add up....
Read moreWe were tabled outside in the rain with my little ones next to a green dust pan and brush that they used to clean the restaurant floors. After asking for a high chair I was given a half wet, beyond dirty high chair with buillt up black grime all over it. As we sat down a male staff member came over and was asking about my relationship status? if my childrens father was going to attend aswell? Extreamly rude, invasive and an uncomfortable conversation. I responded strongly "no, its just me and my children and askes why he was asking?" He moved on to say 'oh I was just asking' - A super awkward and uncomfortable moment. He moved on quickly and asked if I needed him "to go through the menu with me?" - "No" I responed strongly again, and added - "I know what we want thanks". He took our drinks order and walked away. He returned much later with no drinks and wanting to now take our food order. I said "we have not got our drinks yet?" He said "oh they are coming - looking to see if they were?!" That was the final straw. I grabbed my children and left instantly. I have been to numerous restaurants all over Australia - The service at this restaurant was by far the worst I have ever experienced and hope I dont ever experience a feeling like this again. Shocking, appalling and extremely unprofessional. The looks, service and comments from the staff were unwelcoming, rude and unethical. Beyond poor customer service. What a horrid place -...
