Unfortunately, We had a terrible experience at La Casa. We came on a rainy Sunday, around 11:30am & we waited quite a while to be greeted as the sign stated to wait to be seated. As we were seated we were told to let them know when we were ready to order, again we waited nearly 20 minutes and no one came by, my husband walked toward the bar and asked staff on the way if they will serve us at our table or if we should order at the bar, he was asked to order at the bar. It seemed the staff were all kind of in shambles and unsure what to do.. We proceeded to walk to the bar to give our order whilst tables around us were receiving table service which we thought was odd. Entree’s were served at different times, and the chicken taco’s ordered as part of the mains were terrible, the tomatoes were so thick and full and they put the middle of the iceberg lettuce on the wrap which made it impossible to close to eat. We were not given any cutlery and when we asked for some we were told he would be back in a moment but he never returned... For a restaurant on the front of Mooloolaba esplanade, we just expected a little more, it was just a disappointing experience overall unfortunately. ——————————— I’m honestly quite taken back by your response. In no way me mentioning that your staff member told us he cannot speak English well was that a racial slur from me or meant I am against diversity. I mentioned this in my post as I think this may have been part of the reason we were misunderstood during our visit.. I would not have supported your small business should I have known this would be the outcome. How appalling to have a response like that from a business owner, threatening also with screenshots and for what? I am also European and I was really looking forward to the outing to your restaurant, so please don’t offend me by saying I am being racist. I am not ashamed, I merely removed that part of my post as you were quite clearly offended. I wish your business well and hope that in the future you can take feedback...
Read moreThis restaurant looks nice from outside, but we had a really bad lunch. The ceviche was very bad the fish was not cooked with the lemon juice. Lemon juice was so bitter , fish didnt taste even like fresh raw fish, it tasted like old raw fish. I am Peruvian, i grew up eating ceviche on a daily basis, yes it supossed to be raw, but marinated and "cooked" with the lime juice. I have tried many variations of it, mexican ceviche, brazilian ceviche, colombian ceviche. This was completely bad. Didnt even eat it fearing it would make me sick.
The server asked me if i was happy with the ceviche directly, i know i could have said something about it but i didnt want to bitter my day having a confrontation when it was a special day for me and my husband, and after seeing the response on this post i am anticipating it wouldnt have been a pleasant conversation to have
We also ordered the black pasta with prawn, we only got 4 prawns in a plate of more than $30, same thing with it, it wasnt tasting fresh either. They never told us we could ask for more prawn, otherwise we would have done it for sure.
I ordered a pizza, wich was overall normal wich i am glad otherwise we would have spent $100 and walk out super hungry. I am aware that this type of pizza doesnt have regular ingredients and its supossed to be special, nevertheless the ingredients and preparation had an average quality, that didnt reflect the price
The mocktail i ordered was tasting just like sparkling water.
The servers were nice and polite, but i would...
