Picked this place to dine as it had a good customer presence for a Tuesday night. My husband and I were rather disappointed with our meals. I had the Chicken Scallopini - the chicken was very overcooked and rather chewy, and dry, there was absolutely no sauce present on the plate - it was so disheartening as that's the hero factor being able to mix the beautiful vegetables on the plate through the creamy sauce. The Veg and mushrooms were nice - that's about it..... as Manu states - it's all about the sauce! Hubby had a chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was fridge cold, and the egg was also fridge cold and cooked all the way through. For the price paid, this dish should have had hot grilled chicken tenderloins and a hot, soft poached egg on top.... The outdoor seating area is nice, but the tables are terribly wobbly - had to sacrifice a few napkins to the table feet. - noticed many other customers having the same annoying issue. On a positive note, the wait staff were friendly :) I'm sure there are some good meals available here, unfortunately we chose 2 that were not up to the standard we expect.

Had dinner here last night. As you can see by the photo it a lovely spot to have a meal on the sea front. We started with a moscatto and an Aperol Spritz . The moscatto was probably fron a 4 dollar bottle and tasted like sugar water and the spritz had just enough Aperol to color the Prosecco and lacked taste. For mains my partner had the pineapple pizza and that was ok, would compete favorably with a supermarket bought one. I had the double cooked duck . The first time they cooked it was probably in the morning, or the day before. The second time was when i ordered it . Taste was ok, but it was dry and not at all what a twice cooked duck should taste like. Look , its food, its not expensive , its in a nice area. Not saying you should give it a miss, just don’t have high expectations. Me, been there, no need to go back .

After my experience, this place should not be making breakfast! F irst they didn’t bring out our entire order. Never did get it or a refund. Bacon add-on should not be that difficult. We both had a latte and pancakes. Was really craving pancakes and our normal spot was very busy. We’ll wait next time. The pancake tasted like it had way too much flour, was like eating rubber (my guess cooked earlier and reheated) and not hot at all! The taste was so bad and they were so had to eat that we just couldn’t. The coffee isn’t anything to write home about either. Lattes should have foam. These looked like coffee with milk added. No way will we return. The servers were friendly, but just not worth the waste of money!

The customer service was beyond appalling. My friend ordered a plate of food and asked if the poached eggs could be exchanged for haloumi. The lady taking the order said yes. When the food came out my friends plate had eggs on it. She explained to the waitress that she had asked for the eggs to be exchanged for haloumi. The waitress disappeared and came back with the computer receipt for the order (which she had not received a copy for when the order was paid for). The receipt did not have the exchange recorded. My friend asked for a side plate so she could remove the eggs from her plate as they make her feel ill. Again the waitress disappeared and instead the manager/owner returned with the receipt & continued to argue with my friend that she had not ordered haloumi instead of egg. My friend said I am just after a side plate now so I can at least remove the eggs. The manager disappeared and came back with a side plate and said that she would give my friend haloumi. During this time my friend had drank her coffee, our meals were going cold and my iced coffee had still not arrived. When I asked for the coffee the manager came back with something close but not what I had ordered and it was undrinkable.

Long story short- coffee & service were terrible but the food was fine. I won’t be returning when there are so many...

I never expected the ABSOLUTE LIES straight to my face while they tried to defend it as just a communication issue.

Its after covid. We visited wanting to support all the struggling businesses we keep hearing have done it tough.

We sat right next to the entry area to the kitchen. Staff walked past and looked at us at least 50 times. And the below still occured. I would review the risotto if I had it. 15 minutes in waiter came to ask us to repeat drinks because of "system error" we repeated order. 5 mins later the drinks came. 5 mins after that the drinks came again. At 40 minutes we were told " I have just checked with the kitchen your risottos x2 are just coming now". 50 minutes in we asked where the meals are. "Ooo sorry we have run out of risotto" was the answer. It's a communication issue. When I asked for a manager to discuss where the risotto had disappeared to in the past 10 minutes, I could see them flee leaving the young daughter at the bar to try to calm me down with offers of meals when I return. I didnt want a free meal, the drive home to Brisbane would be quicker. . Sorry. When 2 staff says it's on its way. Then I get told we dont have it. Telling me it was coming...

Greeted and shown to a seat. Menus, water & plastic cups bought to the table. Ordered at counter, coffee x2, loaded croissant, bacon & eggs. Coffee arrived. Sat drinking our coffee while taking in the view. Finished our coffee and no meal in sight. Then noticed 2 tables that arrived and ordered after us had their meals. Bought this to the waitress's attention who went to find where our meal was. She seemed to get distracted on coming back with information until she noticed us watching her. She came and said our meal ticket had been lost but the meals were being prepared now. Meals finally arrived long after we had finished our coffee. Is this their ploy to get us to buy another? It didn't work on us. Hash browns were soggy, scrambled eggs were tasteless with no seasoning added, poached eggs were over poached. The people at the table next to us had their meal ticket lost as well. It's rare to have it happen once but twice makes me think there is more to it than meal tickets going missing. Craft you really need to pick up your game as there are so many other eateries along The Esplanade. We definitely...
