My wife and I visited this restaurant for lunch and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was priced well and looked great. At the time we attended it was not busy. Before ordering, we checked the reviews as it seemed great.

The experience on the other hand was not. When it came to ordering the food from the lady at the till, she was not accommodating when asking to change the bacon on the burger to tomato and lettuce responding with they don’t have tomato or lettuce nor do they alter the orders (besides the menu stating to ask our staff for vegan/gluten free options). When this was challenged that the other food had tomato and lettuce, the lady at the till asked the chef and was able to accommodate the request.

The burgers were served very quickly, however there was no sauce for the hot chips (nor was this offered at ordering). When I approached the lady at the till again she said they don’t offer sauce and you need to pay $1 extra for the sauce. This is fine however one would think sauce would be included or at least offered? When asking for the sauce, the way it was handled felt very awkward and inconvenient so I passed on it.

After the sauce debacle I went back to the table to eat and one of the burgers were extremely soggy. After this experience I took the burger back which they offered a change or full refund. If the experience had of been more pleasant I probably would of stayed and had a new bun, however the lady needs to change her attitude to provide a more positive customer experience.

In regards to the second burger,...

My group of friends and I bought food at the kebab shop next to your place and wanted to sit at your tables, a very kind waitress came over and said that if we wanted to use your tables we would be required to order from your menu, a very reasonable demand. I decided I would have a coffee and was brought a wonderful looking cappuccino. The manager came over and started giving us a tough time. She asked if anyone else was going to order anything and they did not want to at the time, she said that the table was for café customers only, I said that I had already bought a coffee from you, she replied "One coffee, really?" with a very disrespectful attitude. I understand that if the tables are very limited and you had a lot of customers, me ordering one coffee could be an issue but there were many other open tables, only one other table was occupied by a couple. Maybe if we were allowed to sit for 5 minutes before being harassed, one of my friends would also have decided to buy something. I would give you 0 stars if I could, but unfortunately it's not possible. The only plus was the good manners and attitude of the waitress that helped us before the manager started being so rude. I asked for a refund and left.

An edit in response to your reply. We were 5 people, not 7-8. 2 of us had already checked in using the barcode on your table. The other 3 people had just come to sit down for barely a minute or two before we were...

1st time here for breakfast on Tuesday last week, the girl serving was useless she didnt listen to our order properly, for starters she forgot 1 of our meals meaning we only knew this after asking why our last persons meal had not come out when every one else was, to learn she never added it to the order, so annoyingly had to I had to go pay "again" because the cost was supposedly not added to the docket, fine then while I let her know she didnt do our order properly & I need to pay for 1 of them, she said "so need to pay for 2 more meals" clearly wasnt listen to anything or couldn't understand English. While 1st ordering we also asked her to have all the meals bought out together, to which she agreed, but of course they all came at at all different times meaning none of us were actually eating together. The whole time we were there everyone around us orders were stuffed around as well, either wrong table, wrong or,.missing order. They really need someone who can work in that kind of fast paced job, she certainly can not.

The waitresses bringing our food out were lovely & friendly & apologetic for the constant mix ups, they are the only reason for the 2 stars.

The Meals were average not a lot for what you pay, although the prices we not too bad compared to...

Went here for my birthday brunch 2/9 and our decision was based purely on the google reviews. It wasn’t overly bad but I did expect a bit better from a cafe that had a review greater than 4.5. Whilst writing this review I feel like a Karen (no offence to the Karen’s of the world) but I left feeling like I should have gone to the other cafe option we had on our list. I ordered the pea and corn fritters, bit risky given I’m not a big fan of peas but thought I would give it a go, all I could taste was peas (regrets) but it is what it is, I was the one that orders it. The fritters were in the shape of a fairly large balls and were a bit doughy, not fluffy. But the thing that annoyed me was having to pay an additional $2 to have my eggs scrambled instead of poached (6 months pregnant so can’t have poached eggs). I haven’t come across this before, surely it’s not a new thing but it just annoyed me and maybe that’s because I had higher expectations given the rating. Coffee was average, little bitter and the lady that took my order didn’t seems to be having a good morning. Husband had the eggs benny with one of my pea and corn fritters. He said it was pretty good.

Truly was a disappointing experience despite the reviews. I probably got the worst meal on the menu. Went there for Sunday breakfast 2 weekends ago, ordered the pancakes. Only option for pancakes was the indulgent chocolate and nuts and icecream and bananas, would have liked something a little lighter, pancakes and maple (like on kids menu) First taste the pancakes are clearly the frozen ready made ones. I get it, for speed of service I guess it makes sense. But they tasted frozen, artificial, not at all appetising. I walked away from it without barely touching it. Meal was affordable but I would have preferred one, homemade fluffy pancake with this topping than a 3 stack of frozen ones. Service was lacking, the girls were standing around chatting among each other while holding plates and we weren’t advised up front to order at the counter/via table app. I am not ordinarily fussy with food but if I wanted frozen pancakes I could have gone to maccas.

We’ve been to Melody’s Café twice this week – once for breakfast and again for lunch – and both times were absolutely spot on! The food has been fantastic every time. For breakfast, we had the loaded burger and the salmon eggs benedict – both were fresh, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. For lunch, the beef burger and fish taco were just as impressive. Everything was delicious! The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. Such a great little spot – we’ll definitely be back again!
