Unfortunately this cute and trendy little Cafe is inconsistent. Two of us visited three weekends ago on a Saturday morning at a busy time and we graded you a well deserved 5 Star! The service was fantastic; served by happy young girl with a beaming smile who made us feel welcome. The meals came out rather quick for a Saturday Breakfast period and OMG the in-house Hollandaise sauce was beautiful and nice to taste it was reduced with lemon juice instead of vinegar. Coffee was also delicious as was the atmosphere quaint with great music. The three us visited I believe the following week (unsure as we have visited many Cafes lately) and while the service was once again fantastic; in fact other Cafes should take a leaf out of your book on customer service. However the Holly sauce was almost inedible; all I could taste was raw egg yolk and vinegar, obviously not reduced enough and way too much salt. Poached eggs were over-done this visit, but acceptable and enjoyable. Re-visited last week and the smashed avo was delicious as usual; however we were disappointed with my eggs benny again or with the Hollandaise sauce. Our question is; if it is an in-house recipe why is the taste so different to three weeks ago? But we cannot praise highly enough on the customer service and coffee. We were going to make this Cafe our choice of Cafes at Maroochydore; in fact up there with the best on the Sunshine Coast; however food needs to be consistent. We don't want to come across as rude; that is not our intent, however perhaps buy in the sauce if not all the Chefs can make it - it can be a tricky sauce to make; just of a minute over and you over cook the yolks or just one minute under and it will...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff are friendly and the coffee is fine (if on the intense side - I normally don't take sugar but wanted one in coffees from here). We regularly choose this as the morning coffee joint when holidaying here. The service can be on the slow side even for takeaway, just because it tends to be busy (it's not an issue when you're on holiday, but if you're waiting with impatient small children that might matter to you). The prices are a bit steep - $5 for a medium coffee is expensive by Brisbane standards (where the same size would sell for $4 at a good place in the suburbs, $3.50 with a keep cup at some good CBD stores), but that might just be the norm for this holiday area. I guess what I'm saying is that if a new place opened up close by with good coffee and a more competitive price, I'd...
