Pappar'delles — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

1. had to grab own menus and go to bar to order, although "table service"...
2. had to ask numerous times for drinks
3. were 2 mothers, 3 children, stopping in for a bowl of chips, milkshakes for children and a vino for us Mummies...called CHEAP and told to "f off" in front of children by a barely English speaking EMPLOYEE. After he asked why we cancelled our 2nd serve of gross, chips. Gravy looked like jelly. Friend and I decided to save the $10 for a ridiculously small serve of chips, which no one enjoyed.

Never in my life, working in restaurants, having my friends who are chefs, being a business owner previously myself, have I EVER experienced such despicable "service".

What makes it worse is: NO discount or compensation was offered. My friend, shaken by event, paid for drinks and chips? THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FREE AFTER what we endured.

A lovely afternoon, ruined by a rude, ignorant and unprofessional individual who clearly does not know what the word hospitality means.

Wrong industry buddy!

Health, food and safety will be called accordingly...along w/ appropriate governing bodies.

DON'T BOTHER! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! The service was terrible (non existent right from the start). We sat there for one hour after ordering and were ignored the whole time despite the waiter walking past us to serve the one other table that was in the back area. Don't tell me you were too busy to do your job! After one hour a kid came out and said, 'Sorry. Your meals will be about 10 minutes'. Our kids were tired, hungry, getting restless and needed some food and bed. We decided to leave and judging by the other reviews Pappar' Delles has, the food wasn't worth waiting 1 1/2 hours for anyway. As we left there were no apologies, no nothing. Their priority seemed to be telling the kitchen that we were leaving so don't cook our meals (yes, I did see you doing that as we left). ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!! Mid-2020 had takeaway for 5 large pizzas, chips and some fish bites for two large families. Some of the best pizzas I've eaten, chips were good steak-like ones, and fish bites I've never seen them large and fleshy -- I thought were great! I thought there would be more chips in the $10 pack, but everything seemed to go the distance. 5/5 stars. Came back in December to eat in restuarant, entirely different experience - 3/5 stars. Lady serving was only one taking orders at front and serving in restuarant. Wasn't that busy, but after waiting 10 mins for her to come up, to speed things along we got up to order at front, and again got up everytime needed something or the pay. Never once did she visit our table other then to serve the food. Food and pizza was this time was mediocre at best and not worth the premium price charged. Was otherwise a relaxing environment and nice eating out...
