Boo's Place Cafe & Provedore — Restaurant in Swan Hill

Arrived around 10:30am on a Saturday morning and the place was empty with only 2 tables being used and what looked to be 4 staff members wandering around. Went up to the counter and asked for a table for 2 outside and was told yes no worries sit where you like but unfortunately that was the end of service until we were served our food. No one mentioned that when we are ready to order to come back inside to front counter and not a single sign advising of this either so we sat down and waited and waited and after 10mins I went back inside up to the counter and asked if someone could come and take our order. I was then told by a non smiling staff member that you order here at the counter. After that the same lady served our coffees outside without a single word being said. Food came from another staff member who was smiling and friendly and the food was excellent. Definitely some improvements should be made considering the prices being charged. Was self serve for water and glasses, self serve for even a serviette at this cafe. Thankfully the same lady that served our food also cleared the table at the end so it was good to finish...

Out for lunch from work and couldn’t have the pumpkin and coconut soup but was recommended to try the Cauliflower and Blue Vein soup and was told when I commented that I’m not a Blue Vein Cheese fan…that it wasn’t an all consuming flavour by a staff member so I agreed to try it out!! On first taste you could just discern the flavour of the cheese and with each spoonful it just became a beautiful creamy taste sensation that I just thoroughly enjoyed….with the herb butter on toasted sourdough with my own addition of sour cream…noice!! And more than happy to say so when asked what I had...

Take away order: 2 coffee and 4 pies took about 40mins! Firstly the order was wrongly taken (she placed the wrong number of pies) - it’s fine, I understand and the lady apologised to me but my order was not made as priority after this. I waited for another 27mins for 4 pies to be microwaved. I heard a lady came out from kitchen and told the lady handling pies and pastry “it’s too slow, they just need microwaved”. The pie/ pastry lady froze and glared at her… I hope the manager can review this matter. And whoever is on the run/ limited time, this cafe is not...
