Cute little Greek restaurant in Newtown with a whole lot of personality. This restaurant was unassumingly good. Despite the modest exterior, the food was all prepared / made beautifully, with authentic flavours and generous servings.
We tried a variety of food, including: Three dips - all unique and with their own special selling points. They all complemented the bread well and were so good that we ended up adding it to our other dishes Octopus - yum. Cooked well, with a good texture and taste. Easy to consume and not overly chewy or tough Salad with artichokes: good flavour and balance between the different flavours of the sauce. Please note, this is not a light salad. It makes you feel quite fj The Barramundi: not too good, but keep in mind that Iām not a huge fan of barramundi. I liked the potatoes and tomatoes. The vegetarian ā¦ā¦: enjoyable. They were very generous with the feta, and the zucchini was nice too. Tomatoes were nice and sweet Dessert: we got the baklava and also the other traditional sweet dessert. They both had a nice flakey pastry, but Iād say the baklava was slightly too sweet. I liked the inner custard texture of the Greek dessert! Very enjoyable
Even though the food was good on its own, the staff were really the best part of this experience. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and conversational. The guy who took our order and served our food was full of good energy and attitude (in a good way). It was great throwing around some jokes and banter with him. The lady who (I assume) makes the food was super sweet and came by each table to talk to the patrons. The attention and care that we received was different to what you normally get these days at restaurants, and it was greatly received and appreciated. They even gave us Turkish Delights at the end of our meal - I donāt know if this is a normal thing for Greek or Mediterranean restaurants, but to us it was quite a nice surprise! I would definitely recommend dining at this restaurant, not only for the food but also the...

Late one evening, an elderly couple welcomed two lost strangers to their cottage. Whilst the elderly couple made no pretences of being lavish or elite, they extended every hospitality to their guests. Serving their finest wine, preparing their goose from the winter stock, and extending generosity which far surpassed that of their rich neighbours, among whom the guests found ādoors bolted and no word of kindness." It turned out the guests were none other than Zeus and Hermes, and the old coupleās hospitality so charming, they were preserved in history as monuments to common kindness.
The second story is of a man known as Admetus, who in light of the horrible and irreversible (but well-intentioned) self sacrifice of his beloved wife, had to immediately cease his mourning and throw together a banquet for the unexpected visit of a family friendā¦none other than Hercules. Concealing his grief, Admetus served the great hero the finest olives, spanakopita, yemista, horta and all other variety of dips and wines. When one of Admetusā palace guards admonished Hercules for his buffoonery in light of the the personal tragedy - Hercules marched out to the tomb of Admetusā wife; single-handedly wrestled Death; and forced him to submit to returning the deceased to the living, and her husband.
The food, hospitality and good nature (or āxeniaā) of Olga deserves a place in Olympus alongside the elderly couple, the widower and...

If you are looking for a dirty environment, terrible quality unauthentic bad āallegedlyā Greek food, this is it, go ahead but youāve been warned.
We booked this place and upon arrival weāve noticed no one else there which is unusual for Newtown on a weekend at 7pm.
We proceeded to order an entree of Whitebait Fritters which were off and left most of it, for mains my wife ordered skewers of BBQād Prawns which were ok but nothing Greek about them in the way they were cooked, unfortunately I went for my favourite roasted āLamb Shoulderā with baked vegetables, it was disgusting, tasted like boiled meat and then partially cooked in an oven, it was full of fat, small bones and grizzled , I had no option to leave it barely touch. We went on to have a proper dinner at another restaurant.
We passed by their door twice after we left and for a period of 2 hours only a table of around 6 ladies sitting outside dined there.
I recommend that you stay away from here. We eat out 2-3 times per week and have never been to a...
