This message is for owner of the business. For years, myself and my community friends have been your customer but unfortunately the treatment today from one staff member who doesn't know how to do simple calculation decided to tell me that I was rude to her and I am jobless. I even got her confirmation from her colleague that I have paid her the amount of money that I was saying I have paid, still she decided to call me rude. I even brought out calculator on the phone to show her and help her but she just decided to take the wrong way towards her customer. Two of my community friends were outside watching her behaviour and as I stepped out said to me, "we are never coming back here again" Good customer service is the key to a successful business and more customers. That attitude of your staff will eventually damage your name and business. Even customers around noticed everything and were empathic towards me especially after the girl's colleague confirmed the cash amount I have paid at the counter. Please let that girl know that I am not jobless, I have family and kids, drive a lexus and work as a mentor, trainer as well as a teacher. I tried to call and speak with you (before this review) or the manager of the shop but the same girl picked up the phone and after I asked for manager, realised it was me and hung up on me smashing the cradle on the phone. I felt so bad about the whole incident, it makes me sad about breaking my years long relationship as a customer with...
Read moreFor my sisters wedding we ordered a mammoth chocolate and vanilla cake. We were very particular about this cause our groom hates all flavours but chocolate. Funnily enough he DETESTS coffee and I’m sure you know where this story is going. When we sliced into the cake it was a 100% coffee cake, not allowing for anyone who hates the taste of coffee to eat into it. When I complained they said “too bad” and “we have over 50 cakes to make every day mistakes are sometimes made”. This isn’t Iran. We pay for a service, we are entitled to have our service.
Other than this every time my sister goes to buy anything from here they are SO RUDE to her, and anyone else I have known to go there. What the hell is this?? People in Iran are so much nicer!! Anyone can make a cake!!! It’s about how you treat your customers!!
We have constantly come back to this cafe in order to support a Persian business. We come from the east, from the west and from the north from all different families to come and get sweets at Asal because we want to support them and support Persian businesses. And every time they are ruder and ruder. I’m cutting my family and friends off from coming here any longer and we will be going to neighbouring cafes who are much more respectful and kind. STILL wishing you all the best and as I read the negative reviews I see that other people see the same rudeness that we do. We hope you decide to change your attitude and be better to the sweet people who come to you...
Read moreManager has no manners and no customer service. I don't have a cake for my guests because of their arrogance. I rung Merrylands 1 week in advance, and was told to order 1 day before I needed it. I did exactly that, and when I rung, a nice person picked up the phone and was friendly. He did not call me back. I called them back 1.5 hours later to chase up the order. They said they would ring me back again. In the end, they rung me back after the shop was closed as the waiter has promised and he trying to help me with the order. The manager took the phone from him and I was told rudely that I left it too late, that it was my fault that I did not order 2 days in advance, and that they were too busy that weekend with 35 cakes to make. The manager (probably the owner) was aggressive, and never thought that the advice given by his team of nice staff was actually incorrect in the first place! Just because I am not Persian and do not speak Persian, does not mean that you can disrespect your customers. I would never support a business where the manager slams down the phone...
