AtomThai NEWTOWN — Restaurant in Sydney

By far the best Thai restaurant in Australia! From the impeccable food to the amazing staff that makes you feel like family. There are several Thai places on King St in Newtown and some you'll pay much more for inferior quality food. Atoms has been the best Thai I've ever had outside of Thailand, and even then it give most Thai restaurants in Thailand a run for their money. Fresh, and amazing ingredients; the most accomdating staff and chefs. They've even whipped up something not on the menu to cater to specific dietary needs. Atom, Paul, Mac, and many more always go above and beyond, whether you are in for a quick cheap lunch, a great dinner, or a birthday party. They absolutely go out of their way to make you feel like you are important. And this applies to each and every customer they have. Several times we've gone and they've made something of menu to cater to my dietary needs to make sure that we are satisfied. If something is wrong, too spicy or the sort, they happily fix it (rarely ever happens to anyone I've known that visits) with a smile and an apology. This is rare of course, but it shows just how much he cares about not only long time customers but also someone who has only been there once. If we want Thai we would never order locally where we live, and it's worth the drive from anywhere in Sydney, and from the Central Coast to Wollongong and beyond. Locals and visitors to Australia alike have commented on how great they food and atmosphere really is. This is a must go to whether just once or a regular place to get you fix of genuine Thai food and hospitality....

Had booked ahead via website to ensure our booking for NYE however, on arrival, our booking was not on their list. Fortunately the staff quickly reconfigured tables to accommodate our group. My star rating reflects this error as it could have resulted in a disastrous night as it was NYE and most had travelled large distances to be there. Given I received an email asking for feedback post dinner it confirmed for the second time the resturant had received my booking.

The issue of the booking aside we had a wonderful time. Staff were friendly, attentive, very professional and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed, restaurant clean, vibrant and welcoming. Service from staff was excellent throughout the evening and the food delightful and delicious. Particular needs such as extra spicy food were readily accommodated.

I order delivery from Atom Thai almost every 2 weeks. They are consistently offering some of the best quality dishes and have never run late. I finally tried eating at the restaurant and got to say THANK YOU! Fantastic service, beautiful dishes. The crab spring rolls are divine, if only they were bigger! They almost melt in your mouth with the sauce, not like any spring roll I have had before. The egg noodle beef dish is one of my favs, delicious sauce and fresh veggies to match. Their Massaman curry is next level, rich and just super yummy!!! Their curry dishes are all amazing, I have tried many. This is one of the best Thai places in Newtown and as you all know, there is a lot of competition. Thanks to the team for delivering fresh, fast, wonderful food. You guys deserve the 5 stars, keep it up. Devoted to order delivery again and again...
