A long awaited experience for an overhyped brand
I would probably give this place 3.5 stars but wasn’t happy enough to give it the 4 so I’ve chosen 3. I discovered this place after looking up reviews for the best burgers in Sydney. Definitely far from the best burgers in Sydney another reason for the 3 stars. Not sure who was payed to put this in an article on “Best burgers in Sydney” but I suppose that’s my fault for believing a journalist.
Food - 6.5-7/10 Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad burger it’s definitely quality. But nothing stands out. Everything was well prepared just not premium quality. Flavour was slightly above average. Overall it was definitely not something I would go out of my way for however if I was in the area and after a burger I’d definitely go back. Providing there wasn’t a better place around.
Drinks 9/10 Normally I don’t review drinks however on this occasion I ordered a shake. I have a love for peanut butter shakes and they are quite hard to find. This place blew the competition out of the water! Hands down best peanut butter shake in Sydney. Not to mention how it was a proper thick shake not just a glass of milk! Lack of loaded fries was a real downer. The menu was rather plain.
Service 4/10 I ordered on the app rather than at the counter which was a headache within itself. The place was relatively tidy however a few tables with rubbish left over. Few staff members just lounging around so I’d expect this could have been addressed sooner. On arrival at the counter to inquire about how to receive my food I was told they normally don’t offer table service and I was to pick it up from the pickup area “in approx 5 minutes time” and that they do not call out names. So simply sitting at the table it’s a guessing game. The staff member was polite and offered to bring my food out for me. While this was nice it was special treatment on my behalf I feel like there should be a better system.
Atmosphere 5/10 Nothing stood out just a simple little restaurant it could have comfier chairs and would benefit from renovation. Lack of bins and poor ordering layout (ordering in the middle of the store but pickup at the front) made it annoying. When we tried to find a bin at the end of our meal to place the rubbish in we were told just to leave it on the counter. Does this place expect people to just be grubs and leave their mess on the table? I guess if that was the case. Please have someone actually clean up.
Conclusion: If you go visit this place with the best burgers mindset you will be greatly disappointed. If you go in there expecting a run of the mill American fast food style restaurant you will...
Read moreThis is a pleasant little burger joint, conveniently located just outside the food court of the Westfield shopping centre in Bondi Junction. Not the kind of place you’d make a special trip for, but it’s handy if you happen to be in the centre, and want to have a bite to eat at lunchtime or dinner. It’s reasonably priced, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, food is fresh and tasty and the service is friendly and super fast.
The décor is cheerful, with brightly coloured fixtures, tons of greenery and decent strong lighting. Only problem is that the back door is usually wide open to the terrace, so on a chilly night, it can be quite draughty. Even on a spring night, we were still a bit cold but tried to find a sheltered corner, where the wind didn’t get to us.
The drill here is that you order at the counter, you’ll be given a little buzzer to plonk on your table and within a few minutes it will go off and you’ll be able to collect your meals.
My daughter and I dined, and we each had a classic burger and a bottle of 4 Pines Amber Ale, and shared a serve of thick cut chips. That all came to 50 pesos, which just goes to show the extent to which our little Aussie peso is now nothing more than monopoly money. Think of this: two beers, two little burgers and a small serve of chips for 50 pesos. Really just a few mouthfuls. It’s a pity no-one bothered to tell our leaders or the reserve bank, that keeping interest rates at zero and turning on the money printers like there’s no tomorrow is eventually going to have consequences. But I digress! Our burgers were small as mentioned, but neatly constructed and easy to eat. The little meat patty was nicely cooked just the way I like it, and the other ingredients were wholesome and tasty. Chips were nice and chunky, but again at 7 for a cup, a pretty small helping. The ice cold beers went down a treat.
Being Westfield, there are ample clean toilet facilities in the food court, and plenty of parking, with the first two hours free, and further concessions if you’re a Westfield Plus member. I’m sure we’ll be back next time we're in...

I had an amazing meal at Betty’s Burgers in Bondi Beach! The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, perfectly complementing the beachside vibe. The burgers are simply incredible—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The highlight for me was the classic Betty’s Burger, which had the perfect balance of savory beef, fresh toppings, and a soft, toasted bun. It’s comfort food done right!
I also tried the grilled chicken sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sandwich was packed with fresh ingredients that really made every bite satisfying. The combination of the crispy chicken and creamy mayo was a real winner.
The staff were friendly, and the service was quick, making it a great spot to stop by for a delicious meal after a day at the beach. Whether you’re craving a burger or something lighter like the grilled chicken sandwich, Betty’s Burgers at Bondi Beach is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
