Attention !!! To all of those people who want to learn all in one by enrolling the course. Guys, this course is just giving you a basic information which you can see on the internet. The course I enrolled was about three hours which we literally waste 1 hour and thirty minutes in introducing ourselves and why we enrolled in the course. Guys there is no latte art in this course if you even interested to learn a little bit. The instructor does it for you while he show but no instruction to do even simple one. It is so frustrating that at the end of the course you do not know how to steam the milk and what a good quality milk should look like. Basic coffees shown on a powerpoint but how to learn it. So my suggestion to you is to learn the coffees and espresso to milk ratios before starting the course. IN BRIEF!!! What they do is: 3 hour course including 1 hour of introducing yourself ( try to make it as short as possible otherwise you have a less time to practice with coffee machine) 1 hour of basic info about coffee beans and superficial info about the coffee drinks (power point) Finally you have the chance of working with coffee machine, but, they do not show the mechanism, they do not show how to clean it, they do not show open and close the coffee machine and what we should care about !!! Important!!! Important!!! Important!!! In the final hour, working behind the coffee machine, you gonna choose a friend from the group and practice with him/her so be careful when you choose your partner because if she/he is a clumsy or slow one you literally gonna learn notting from the most important part of the course. Cheers guys and best...

What a fantastic training course. I had such an amazing time with a fabulous trainer (Kat). From the minute I showed up she was so welcoming and warm and put me at ease straight away. Kat is an inspiration and an Undeniable asset to the black market training academy. I was taught how to make every coffee to the best of my ability with the aid of her extensive knowledge and passion for the industry (she really knows her stuff). There is a lot to take in but I was given constant feed back and encouragement the entire time, a good teacher is always a bonus but a GREAT teacher with such a positive outlook makes it so much more than learning a new skill but also a wonderful experience, I highly recommend her!. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to start my barista journey, it was very much...

This class was absolutely perfect, it was small which was perfect for getting lots of hands on time. Each person in the class had a different level of experience and different areas of struggle within the coffee making process but we all came away with understanding, experience and the needed help to make a beautiful coffee. Learning our problem areas and how to correct them so we personally can make the best cup of coffee was something I really appreciated. Veronika our instructor was informative, friendly and constantly helping us to improve. Although I have heard many people say have had a bad experience with other barista courses I am so happy I went with this one and now have the confidence I need. Highly recommend place...

Founded in 2016, in Oyster Bay, Black Market Roasters serve coffee, food and coffee equipment, as well as do coffee training for coffee enthusiasts and baristas. They also offer tasting experiences. What a cool idea, where for $20 at the Marrickville roastery, you can experience 4 different coffees both hot, cold and from all over the world, and these are paired with 4 small food offerings. If you’re not up for a course or training, you can certainly pop in for a cup of your favourite type of coffee. There’s also a store in Newtown and Black Market also supplies beans to various venues that we’ve visited.

Great vibe, service and food. Love the coffee and food. Try the choc chip cookie, it’s soft, lightly chewy, and delicious. The prices are reasonable and portion size is good. The staff are friendly and food is made to order quickly. It’s a nice atmosphere inside with good music. Most tables Will comfortably seat two or three. There aren’t many larger tables, only one four seater inside. Bigger groups may struggle to find a seat if the large computable at the front is full.

Attended a cocktail making class for my Birthday yesterday evening. If you love coffee, and cocktails then this is the place for you. Don’t worry you’ll not be getting any classic espresso martini’s in the line up. The class was led by a gentleman called Lars, and what a guy he is! So much fun, super knowledgable, and made the whole experience incredible fun for my Partner and I. Would 100% book this experience again. Thanks Black Market Coffee, and thanks Lars!!
