Worst. Chicken. Parmi. Ever.
We came for Tuesday lunch. The place was empty. The waitress scowled at our drinks order, obviously a rude interruption to her morning of doing nothing. Our meal order complete, we retreated to the back beer garden under her angry gaze, before she settled back to doing what looked like to untrained eyes, nothing at all.
My chicken parmigiana was the worst I have ever sampled, by a long way. A rare achievement indeed, considering the sheer number & variety of chicken parmigianas being cooked in Sydney every day.
A chicken breast, uncrumbed, showing the brown lines of being grilled very well, had been dried out to what I imagine jerky is like before it starts the process of being sundried. To this board-stiff foundation was added a large, heaped pile of thin matchstick strands of what I swear was deven. Or perhaps ham pretending to be deven. Finishing off this "masterpiece" the chef had drizzled canned tomato soup over the whole lot. It was definitely heinz tomato soup for one, a runny, soupy pool for the dried chicken breast to soak in.
As unappetising as I describe, it was a stuggle to finish.

Read moreDisappointing Experience at Bush and Bull
I recently visited Bush and Bull and was left quite disappointed. From the start, the service was off; our meals were mixed up on multiple occasions, leading to a lot of confusion and frustration. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to manage the orders properly.
The restaurant itself felt cramped and poorly organized, which only added to the discomfort. The small space made it difficult to move around, and the mismanagement was evident in various aspects of the dining experience.
Overall, the combination of disorganized service and an uncomfortable environment made for a less-than-satisfactory meal. I would rate it 2 stars and hope they can address these issues in the future.

Read moreCalled in for lunch today and we ordered the Tomahawk steak to share. It was $120 and we ordered medium rare, which the staff member said was a good choice as medium rare is their recommended way of cooking it.We were given complimentary garlic bread while we waited for our steak. When the steak arrived it was cooked to well done and we were very disappointed. I wanted to send it back as we paid $120 for an overcooked steak but we were short on time and decided to eat it anyway. The sides that accompanied it were spot on and we'll presented with sauces, horse radish, pesto and mustard.A staff member asked how it was and we pointed out our disappointment with the steak and showed her how overdone it was,she informed the cook and came back and apologised and offered us free dessert. We declined her offer but accepted her offer of a free beer each. The staff are excellent and very friendly and accommodating but I don't recommend the...
