If I could give no star, this restaurant would definitely deserve 0 star.
We booked our table at 8:15 for Valentineâs Day dinner. There was a long queue outside and not ready to let people in. There were plenty of customers still inside from the previous settings which was meant to be 2 hours dining time. It doesnât look like the management is going to move people on to adhere with the time limit. We were waiting until 8:50 to be seated. Not one staff would even come over to greet us or pour us a glass of water. After sitting there for 10 mins, we finally get hold of someone to order our drinks. After another 10 mins, thank god, we finally being served with water.
Our choice of food was asked to be provided 3 days in advance, yet we waited for 30 minutes after sitting to serve with bread and canapés (not until we asked about it!). I noticed the restaurant is full of customers and the kitchen has been really busy due to understaffing. After a long wait for both entree and main, I felt extremely disappointed with the food. The stuffed chicken is so salty and dry. Lastly, the dessert was horrendous, worst crÚme brûlée I ever had.
Their service is just non existent, no one would come and check if anything is ok. We were hanging onto our one and only glass of water for the whole night because no one will come over and refill the water. Manager would not even apologise or explain why thereâs such a long wait. Not even offering a complimentary drink to comfort the customer.
When I asked for the bill, we were charged $7 per bottle of water. In reality, we were only been poured 2 glasses of water for the whole night. So I felt that is unfair to charge us $14 for 2 glasses of water. So I question about the charges and the waiter just said something and went to remove the water from the bill. When he comes back with the EFTPOS machine, I was about to just pay the bill and leave as I donât want to stay there any longer. When he saw me paying by AMEX, he said âoh there will be extra if you pay by AMEX and it will be more expensive than the bottle of waterâ as if we canât afford to pay for the water. Seriously? His attitude was so rude that he just walked off while I was talking to the manager. Then he came back with the machine and take the payment without even talking or look at us. He started talking to the manager in French and ignored us. When my partner questioned him about his rude attitude, he chose to continue to ignore us hence the manager did not intervene or try to understand whatâs happening. After a bad night and bad service. We walked out of the door without thank you or apology for the bad experience.
Never again I will come back to this restaurant nor would recommend this to...
Read moreMy husband booked the Valentineâs Day 3-course meal with bread & canapĂ©s for $130 per person to celebrate our Anniversarry and it was a total disappointment.
First, despite having an 8:15 PM reservation, we were made to line up outside for 30 minutes before being seated.
The 3-course meal was extremely overpriced for what we received. If we had ordered the same dishes Ă la carte, we would have saved at least $60, making the set menu a complete waste of money. The portions and quality did not justify the premium price.
âą The breads? Four small pieces shared between two peopleâhardly generous.
âą The canapĂ©? Just ONE heart-shaped piece of watermelon with cucumber on top. The menu stated âbread & canapĂ©sâ but this was misleading.
⹠The main course took over an hour to arrive after the entrée despite us pre-selecting our menu IN ADVANCE. Meanwhile, a couple who seated after us had already finished their meal.
When I asked the male waitstaff about our food, I was dismissed with a simple âItâs coming soon.â Fifteen minutes later, still nothing. I had to follow up again with another staff member, yet no one gave an explanation for the delay.
To make things worse, my husbandâs chicken was undercookedâcompletely unacceptable for a high-priced meal.
We didnât finish dining until 11 PM and management did nothing to address the poor experience. Only when we went to pay did they finally say their system was having a problemâyet there was no reassurance, no explanation and no proper service recovery while we were dining.
They sent a message apologising but that doesnât change the fact that our anniversary celebration was ruined.
For the price, I expected better service, properly cooked food and a well-managed dining experience. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, ripped off and ignored by the management.
Do not waste your money hereâthere are plenty of other restaurants that actually value their customers.

A Wonderful Experience â Thank You for Making It Right!
We were invited to dine at LaBoucherie on April 12, and we were truly impressed. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was timely and professional from start to finish.
We really appreciate the gesture of reaching out and inviting us backâit showed us that customer feedback is genuinely valued here. Itâs clear the team took our previous experience seriously and made the effort to ensure this visit was nothing short of excellent.
Thank you, La Boucherie, for your hospitality and for turning things around in such a...
Read moreMy fiancé and I had dinner here and we were quite underwhelmed by the food and service. The restaurant charges close to five-star prices but unfortunately does not deliver on either food or service for the price point of the menu.
We began with ordering the bread - $8 for four small slices of baguette with butter. The baguette tasted no different than one you might pick up from Wooly's that was lightly toasted. The butter was good and helped the baguette. The bread felt like something that should have been complimentary, not a charged menu item.
For our entree, we ordered the bone marrow with steak tartare, which was the highlight of the meal - rich, well-executed, and genuinely enjoyable.
I also tried the French onion soup which was disappointing. It was served in a plain white ceramic bowl with two small pieces of bread topped with little cheese. It lacked tradition and presentation that you would expect from French onion soup - especially at that price and the claimed French authenticity of the restaurant.
Both of us ordered the ribeye steak as our main course, which is where the whole meal fell short. The plating left a lot to be desired. Steak - potatoes - sauce. There was no garnish or color which left the feeling that no thought went into plating at all. To add to that, the portions of potatoes were not consistent between our two plates, which might not matter at a casual restaurant but stands out when dining at this price point. Detail goes a long way and it was missed here.
Most importantly, the steak itself was very thin for a ribeye and was both tough and dry. I truly thought we were mistakenly given sirloin steaks.
Service was equally disappointing. It took about 30min once seated to get our order in. We were only one of just a few tables occupied. Our first drinks landed on our table easily 40min after being seated. Once our food arrived, no one checked in on us, and I was unable to get a server's attention to order a second glass of wine to go with my meal. Again, this might be forgivable in a more casual setting, but when a bill comes to around $150 per person, attentive service should be expected.
Overall, while the bone marrow and tartare was good, the rest of the experience fell far short of the high praise this restaurant seems to receive. Based on both food and service, we will not be returning and prefer other restaurants with equivalent...
