Cafe 2232 Sutherland — Restaurant in Sydney

I've had coffee at this cafe many times which has always been great. My friend and I decided to have lunch there today and it was very disappointing. Despite ordering at the same time, my meal came out first and hers was about 5 minutes later only to find it was the wrong meal. She ordered a toasted vegie sandwich but a chicken burger was presented. The waitress apologised and took it back to the kitchen only to return with the same meal and said that she made the mistake taking the order and asked if she would like to have it instead...really?! She said she would rather have what she ordered and was told there would be a wait. It looked as though the bread was waved over a toaster, certainly wasn't 'toasted' and the filling only covered about 2/3 of the surface. Not worth the wait.

If that wasn't bad enough, one of the staff members started sweeping around the area we were seated. Not only did he sweep past our table, he even swept under our table while we were sitting at it!! We gave him a 'look' to let him know it wasn't acceptable while we were eating but he was oblivious, listening to his music. The entire experience was disappointing and I wouldn't recommend this...

Visited this place on Thursday, 9.12.2021 with 3 colleagues for a quick meal. A salad and 3 sandwiches were ordered and we made it clear we couldn't wait too long because we were on the way to a funeral. "No problem we'll be quick, $53 please pay now". Sadly after watching a few others take a seat after we ordered and they have their meals delivered before us, after 33 minutes we had to leave (telling the staff we will return) with only 1 friend served a salad and 2 others with coffee, but 3 of us without a meal. We decided to return later to sit and have our meals and after checking the Facebook page stating a 6pm close on Thursdays, we headed back to the shop at 4.10pm but the doors were shut. So we didn't get our lunch despite paying for it. To make it worse, when my colleague contacted the Cafe the following day to ask for a refund she was told by George that someone picked up the meals. No details on who the someone was. Obviously it's a lie. Disappointing, the food in front of the other customers looked great but the service and attitude...

We took the kids for Sunday morning brunch before Christmas, it was really busy which is a good sign, we have eaten before and the food and coffee has always been great - There was a dispute with a couple and the owners due to delayed food, it was not resolved and they asked for their money back. The owner offered 1 meal back and then it kicked off, next thing plates are tipped at the coffee machine and the owner picks up a mug and throws it across the cafe at the girl with the dispute who tipped the plate, it smashed near us, the couple leave and the owner is a raging bull - Whatever the dispute, control yourself and your temper, whoever was right or wrong throwing mugs at customers, none the less as a man your throwing a mug at a female in a full café, including in front of our 3 kids.
