Chatime Marrickville — Restaurant in Sydney

Ordinarily this store is fast and efficient. Today however, 3 workers and only one doing work. I waited 20 minutes. 7 of which was just them chatting before one of them pointed that someone was waiting. The one employee actually doing work then started preparing my drink but then saw a friend at the counter and left my drink to go serve her friend. She then messed up her friends order and took 10minutes to fix that, while the other workers dawdled about out the back. She then started preparing three other drinks for her friend while mine sat there. Then she spotted me standing there and then left her friend’s drinks and completed mine. She offered an awfully insincere apology. Terrible customer service. Gossip with workmates and going to serve a friend instead of the customer waiting while two other “workers” weren’t doing anything is atrocious behaviour. Do better. Hire better. Two stars because I frequent this store and nothing like this has happened here before. Train these three staff members please. Basic customer service should be the minimum offered in...

Do not buy

Absolutely disappointed with Chatime Marrickville Metro. I ordered two sparkling drinks and both came out completely flat. When I told the staff, instead of apologising or offering to fix it, the employee just said, “What do you want me to do?” — such a rude and dismissive response.

She clearly didn’t care, even after I explained multiple times that the drinks were flat. In the end, she let us walk away knowing full well the drinks were not right. That’s not customer service — that’s pure laziness and lack of care.

Serving flat soda and calling it “sparkling” is dishonest, and having staff who are rude and unwilling to help makes the experience even worse. Definitely won’t be coming back...

I always order via Uber eats due to covid and the service is always quick and the drinks of top quality! I've ordered a whole range of different drinks and they have all tasted great and the flavours are consistent with that i've had from other Chatime locations. They even drew a little smiley face on my bag with my name - how cute and personalised!

When ordering in person, the staff are always friendly and polite with great customer service. They have the appropriate QR check in codes and everyone is wearing a mask with hand sanitiser available.
