The restaurant is in the Marrickville Metro complex, facing the street. Some of the tables are right under the AC so bring a jumper if you don’t like the cold. The menu seems to change as not all the items reviewed by others were available. I guess that is a good thing if you keep coming back and want variety. The good: The drinks were presented well and quite tasty. The cauliflower, Raman Baba Ghanoush and the chicken liver were a hit with everyone. The pickled veggies were nice but would have liked more items on the plate for a group of 6. May need improvement: Unfortunately some of the dishes were underwhelming comparative to other Middle Eastern restaurants in Sydney. Maybe they do it different in their part of Middle East 🤷🏻‍♀️ The baclava ice cream “sandwich” was way too sweet. The green hummus tasted like avocado dip. Maybe move the Lebanese pickles out from the salad section? At least some of the menu items were Insta worthy.

recently had the pleasure of celebrating my son’s confirmation at BEIRUT Street Food and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, creating a wonderful backdrop for our special occasion. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, making sure every detail was taken care of. The food was exceptional, with a menu that catered to all our guests’ tastes and dietary needs. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, receiving compliments from everyone in attendance. I am truly grateful to BEIRUT Street Food for helping make my son’s confirmation a memorable and joyous event. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you, BEIRUT Street Food for an outstanding experience! Sincerely, Carmen

Smells better than it tastes. We usually walk in front of this place, and the smell is very inviting sometimes, and today we decided to try. We had the plate for two with 4 skewers (chicken, 2 x kafta, and lamb). With dips, hummus, and garlic. Fatoush salad and we decided to order a labneh and some bread. The labneh was ok, lacking a little bit of salt but was decent. The bread is sliced and also has some deep-fried bread with seasoning. The main, the skewers of lamb were the best, but they were not great. The kafta was ok as well but a little bit dry, and the chicken was pretty dry. The hummus and the garlic dip were not great. To be honest, the hummus was pretty sad. The salad was well seasoned, and good bread crisps. In general, the place is ok, we had a good amount of food. But, it's not as good I was expecting.

This was my 2nd time to Raman and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. Admittedly my 1st experience was also a little weird, which is why I'm writing a review.

There are multiple entrances, but also multiple table tops, which COULD be a counter to order takeaway from. The 1st time around, I gave my order directly to the cook, as the server was out.

The Zaatar Man'oosh was really great - probably the best Zaatar Man'oosh I've had, outside of Banksia Bakery. It's pretty confusing if you want to take-away, but we got there in the end.

This time around, I went to the front counter, which was basically set up like a coffee bar, with high chairs and looked immediately like somewhere you would order coffee. I waited for about 10 minutes. Then 15 minutes. A few moments later one lady in the restaurant got up to go get menus. The server was then pretty quick to take them off her and insist she sit down so she could bring them, then another server came over immediately to take their order, even though she had just sat down with the menu.

The customer then told them I was there waiting, thankfully. Anyways, he told me to go to the front where the menu was, so I did and then I waited another 5 minutes to try and get the male servers attention, AGAIN.

He then told me that there were no longer serving the Man'oosh, which was fine, it was 1pm and it's breakfast food, but the sign with the Zaatar and Coffee deal was still outside and the menu also doesn't say it's only served to a certain time, which felt really irritating as I waited over 20 minutes to order.

Needless to say, if the Man'oosh is anything to go by, I'm sure the food here is good, but the service level is so poor I just...

I have just finished dining at Raman and I can honestly say it is the best Mezza I’ve ever had to date.

I went with one of my girls for a chilled mid week dinner she’s vegetarian so I had to do some digging to find something suitable for us both.

I noticed this place a few times and checked their menu on their website and decided it was perfect for both my vegetarian friend and my non vegetarian self, they had an extensive selection of hot and cold mezza as well as grilled meats and different types of tasty manoush to choose from that catered to both of our dietary requirements well.

All the food we tried tonight was on point I couldnt fault a single thing from the food we ate to the friendly service, there was so much attention to detail and that’s what really makes for a great dine in experience.

We ordered the red hommus, halloumi, Batata Harra (fried diced potatoes with garlic lemon and coriander) , fried lamb kebbeh, and Raman baba ganoush dip (the fancy one with pomegranates) so worth it in my opinion to treat yourself and get that one, it’s hand made and you can really taste the freshness of all the ingredients and the flavours just worked so well, I would easily say this was the highlight of the night for us both, I’ve never had a better baba ganough anywhere else this was all served with crispy and soft Lebanese bread.

I was so impressed with the food I even ordered my partner a takeaway chicken skewer and a cheeky baklava for dessert that came with pistachio ice cream absolutely to die for.

Joanne and her Husband were lovely thank you for having us, great food and great service go hand in hand and Raman really nailed it we are definitely...

I work in media and don’t like to give low ratings as I know how hard these times have been. However, this place a 2 star review not due to the food, but the service. The food was amazing, but I have honestly had better customer service at Mcdonald’s. As food lovers we often visit places over a weekend and rate their food and I have to say this was a bad experience service wise. 1. The waitress took our drinks order, 30 minutes later the drinks never came. Eventually the food arrived and my husband had to stand up and find someone to bring the drinks, he stood up again and eventually one drink arrived. My drink never arrived by the end of the meal. No table water was offered even after asking for it twice. Eventually my husband got up cancelled the drink and we got the bill. No apology, no manager to say “hey wow we’ve been understaffed, I’m so sorry for any delays”. Just oh ok…

The kitchen is open plan, my husband being a nice guy walked passed the chef and thanked him for the food, the guy looked like he was not impressed with my husband and hardly acknowledged him. The food was genuinely good, but I won’t personally return or suggest this to friends or coworkers due to the exceptionally bad service.

If the service changes we will go back, however this was definitely a bummer. Judging by Covid and the amount of support owners need in these times I would suggest they hire someone to help them train...
