Have ordered from here 3 times now and never been disappointed! Definitely coming back for more soon!!! First time ordering from here. It has street parking just opposite the shop but one has to be there before 7 to get a spot after which it gets real busy. Google maps should help you find the shop easily. Ordered these items from them: 1. Chicken biryani + Taste of the biryani, gravy and raitha. - Proportion of chicken pieces were a bit more than the rice, would prefer it the other was since I buy biryani mainly for the flavor in the rice. 2. Chicken koththu parota + Taste - A bit sweet to taste first but you feel the heat after few spoons 3. Plain naan + Taste - None 4. Madras chicken gravy + Taste, taste, taste.....it will go well with plain basmathi or boiled rice if you just want to order the gravy. Very creamy and has the correct amount of spice. Its so good that you could just drink it like a soup with the consistency of a proper gravy! - I ordered only 1 portion 😉 All this for $50, definitely sumptuous and value for money!

As a lover of Indian cuisine, I was truly disappointed by my recent experience at this restaurant. Not only did the food not live up to the expectations set by the name, but it was also a poor representation of Indian cuisine. It's disheartening to see a restaurant serving dishes that do not align with the name or pricing, as it can lead to a negative perception of Indian food. The garlic naan was burnt and flat, and the paneer kadhai was served instead of the paneer tikka masala we ordered. To make matters worse, the woman in charge of the kitchen was dismissive when we expressed our disappointment. It's not just the misrepresented dishes that were problematic - the service was incredibly slow, and the chef showed no courtesy but left with ignorance saying that she is from chennai. chennai food is something that comes with blend of spices and flavours and very unique. A chef is highly aware of what they are serving, but it lacked here with chef. It's important for restaurants to be transparent about their dishes and to deliver on the expectations they set. When mistakes happen, it's crucial for the staff to be receptive to feedback and use it as an opportunity to improve. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this restaurant. As an Indian food enthusiast, it's sad to see a restaurant that is spoiling the rapport of Indian cuisine by serving anything and everything. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic and high-quality Indian food that aligns with the name and pricing.

“I had a fantastic experience at Chennai Kitchen! Their dosas are absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and authentic. The restaurant is run by a sweet Indian couple Mr Babu and Mrs Rani, and their warmth and hospitality really shine through. Rani also a talented chef, brings her years of culinary expertise to the table, offering a true taste of Chennai right here in Liverpool. In my first visit I wondered why there is no area for handwashing here, but my subsequent visits I figured out it’s inside just the board was missing back then. If you’re craving authentic South Indian food with a welcoming atmosphere, Chennai Kitchen is the place to go!”
