Great we have a big park at Bigge Park with some fairly decent facilities. Part of the playground has shade cloth. There is some seating. There are toilets and change rooms and outdoor shower - unfortunately only cold water and completely exposed so, freezing in the winter. The park is surrounded by four busy streets, right next to the hospital and bus depot so parking is a major issue and [aside from 30 minutes free] paid parking to boot. The area is rife with parking officers - usually two at a time - so a good revenue earner for that council that really doesn't give back to the community. This park is completely exposed to the elements and the wind blows through with no remorse. No real garden but space with an odd green plant popping up. Aesthetically an ugly park. Again plenty of space for pets and kids to run around but the typical Liverpool council lack of bbq facilities added to the absence of picnic tables does not make this a good...

I also noticed an older woman wearing strange clothes and speculating the area. Not long after she lifted her dress and began to wash her hair, clothes and lady bits over the water play area and equipment. I had to circle back around as I decided to leave with my Son. The play area across from that is quite interactive and great for all. I do suggest that the council provide dog poop bags for the park to encourage people to take responsibility after their animals if they plan to walk them about. In saying that, some of the people in the area are quite colourful when it comes to certain things. I am low key revolted about the idea that children come here to play on unsanitary...
Read moreA beautiful green space to chill, exercise, walk, run, or just hang out. It offers clean grounds near the Liverpool hospital and train station, and is perfectly suited for different family activities.
The main drawback is that it doesn't offer a lot of shelter, so if you're not prepared to sit on the ground under one of the trees (not that many) or recline on one of the lawn/beach chairs over by the water area, you'll pretty much be exposed to the elements. It's pretty bad when the sun is at its peak.
Hopefully, they decide to install some kind of overhead...
