My 2022 Dec new review- 0 starts with: "You need to have 2-3 bites of bread to find chicken inside the burger, literally you can't see chicken without opening the bread cap. I don't even find myself full after eating 2 chicken burgers in a row. In 2018 Simon used to sell chicken burger that my jaws used to get tired trying to finish the bun and chicken that was so thick and huge as large as the size Bar Luca in the city still serves today. So sad that the burger size at Chooks has reduced so much and price has gone up badly in the Artarmon village compared to the classy Bar Luca in the city. While I agree that the cost of raw materials and transportation has increased, from the perspective and analysis of a socio economist, I can imagine you are making double the money that you used to make in 2018 but something that you are doing is broken Simon, only you can fix it by finding a way to give back to the community and not squeezing them. When you have best philosophy at your heart, you will be far ahead from the radius of the competition and will still keep doing better"

Read moreWhat a way to cap off the year. It all started with a hectic rush to get things organised for a family Christmas before we all split off for some holidays.
I was running so late after having car problems and needed to find somewhere local to get salads and extras for starters before the ham.
I got recommended this place by a friend who only has ever had good things to say. So I thought give it a shot.
Firstly, the tall gentleman that I can only assume is the owner, was beyond helpful in offering suggestions for good salads to go with the ham we had organised.
Secondly he personally threw in some extras after hearing the way day started. I made a comment on how amazing the burgers looked and smelt, and he assured me they were unchanged since he opened. I can tell you now it is the place to go for amazing local food made by a local business owner who clearly cares about his product and service.

Reply to Simon: Please let you staff know this is not allowed. I had twice this experience in two weeks. The first time can be unintentional, but it cannot be coincidence when they were doing this again yesterday: they pick the top one from the furthest but not the one closest to them.
