I really want to give this restaurant more stars but after today's experience it's only a 3 star. Been here 4 times.. the first time it was amazing.. amazing food , great ambience, my favourite rose, nice view. The second time was dinner and it was fabulous, dj and music and great food and service. The third time for dinner the food wasn't as good as before and all the food came at the same time and too quickly , we were in and out in about 3/4 hr. Would have liked to linger and have a few drinks but anyhow still enjoyed the vibe . Today we went there for lunch and we waited a while to get seated but eventually was shown to a lovely seat next to a window. The maitre d gave us menus and then disappeared. We waited quite a while and there were no waiters to be seen. Eventually the man that seated us walked to the front entrance and started playing on his phone. I caught his attention thankfully and asked if we could order. Realizing we had been totally forgotten about he apologised and took our orders. Then another long wait no drinks delivered. An entree of eggplant with bread arrived. We asked if she could bring our drinks which she did. Then the sushi plate arrived which was great. We waited and waited for the octopus dish.. our drinks were finished and no waitresses to be seen to order more. I looked over at the other tables and they all had water for the table which we were never given. Eventually we decided to leave without receiving the octopus dish which they tried to charge us for. We left and I went across the road and bought a bottle of water lol as I was thirsty .so yeah been recommending this restaurant to my friends and in fb groups but not sure if it's going downhill quickly....
Read moreAs an Accor Plus member, it is with great regret that I write this review for Coco On The Beach - Novotel Brighton Le-Sands. I had recommended this establishment to my daughter and her friends, assured of the service and hospitality I have come to associate with the Accor brand. However, their experience was the stark opposite of what I had anticipated.
From the onset, they were subjected to a prejudiced assumption by a staff member and duty manager âTunnyâ, who incorrectly presumed they were underage. Despite promptly presenting IDâs proving they were over 18, the staff inexplicably insisted they would not serve them alcohol. This was not only an embarrassment but also demonstrated a grave lack of professional judgement.
Moreover, even though they clarified their intention was to have dinner and NOT to consume alcohol, the service did not improve. The staff members seemed to consciously neglect their table, making them feel disregarded and disrespected. For an establishment associated with the Novotel brand, this level of service is unacceptable and deeply disheartening.
The mistreatment was so severe that the group was compelled to leave the premises. They found solace in a competing restaurant across the street, which provided them the courtesy and respect they should have received at Coco On The Beach.
As an Accor Plus member, I feel extremely let down by this experience. It stands in stark contrast to the quality and hospitality I've come to expect from the Accor brand. It's with heavy heart that I must caution others about this venue. Until there is a marked improvement in their customer service, I cannot recommend Coco On The Beach - Novotel...
Read moreI donât usually write negative reviews - but seriously today I have to. Me and my friend saw this place as we drove pass and decided to go in ang give it a go. Big mistake that was. Started with a drink when I asked for a Coke Zero and got God knows what in my glass / it tasted extremely sweet and flat. Iâve called not so friendly Asian waitressing lady and said I canât drink this she said we donât have anything similar to replace it with. I said ok no problem, can I have cranberry juice instead. They dish thaw it and brought me a bottle of Diet Coke instead - Saying itâs for room service only but we will give it to you, which I was thankful for. I wouldnât of written anything here tonight if it was just that. Then we both ordered $36 or so dollars grilled salmon with salad and some chips on a side. Plate looked quite presentable, when I tasted salmon I wanted to spit it out, it smelled bad even cooked. I asked my fiend if hers was ok she said I can feel something but Iâll eat it cos Iâm really hungry. I only ate my salad and chips and decided not to complain again as they would of thought Iâm a Princess . When waitress came to pick up our plates - she didnât even bother to ask how wa our meal? Why didnât I touch my salmon etc. Iâve paid the bill even left some tips and we left. 3 hours later my friend who actually ate most of the salmon - - started feeling sick and spent so dar the rest of the day in a bathroom.. Very disappointing experience - definitely wonât be...
