D.Bowls Açaí Bondi — Restaurant in Sydney

Of the many places you can get an açai bowl in Bondi, D bowls would have to be the worst. Ordered a standard açai bowl with an add on peanut butter scoop but for some apparent reason they squished the peanut butter in there smearing it on the side of the cup then put the fruit on top just so they can put a lid on it because I said sure when they offered me a take away bag. When I told them this wasn’t what I was expecting and had ordered a scoop they said it was because I ordered take away (even though take away is the only option as they serve out of a window) I told them I wanted it to be a scoop as they served the previous customer and said I would appreciate if they could add a bit more on top. The manager couldn’t of cared less of my disappointment and said that I would need to pay if I wanted a scoop to be put on top of it. Overall customer service was atrocious, presentation was disgusting, taste was meh. I would suggest to others to stick to the more established and reputable businesses. I got a small açai bowl from here. It was the perfect size and had good proportions of açai to fruit and granola. I really enjoyed the granola- it had a good variety of whole nuts and seeds (sometimes you get granola and it’s all just oats). I thought the açai bowl was value for money however I got this just after a really long walk and I needed a bottle of water too. I wouldn’t ordinarily buy bottled water but I was desperate. $4.50 for a bottle of water is kind of crazy… am I wrong? They should consider some sort of filtered water tap because my main takeaway from the place was that I was overcharged for a bottle of water not the açai bowl that I got! Oh yum! I love my acai and stopped counting the places I went to This place is literally across the road to the beach Was a bit confused with the serving sizes You can decide between cup and bowl and one special which is like 23$ with more toppings and bigger I ended up having pure Açaí in a cup large size (since I am not a fan of bananas or granola) with extra peanut butter for 2$ (18$ total) and it was to die for So creamy and not sweet like some places Peanut butter with dark roasted peanuts(?) definitely pure peanuts!
