I ordered food on the domino’s app and waited for the live tracking to say the driver had left the store, the live tracking section said unavailable the entire time, I ordered sometime before 10:10pm to which the estimated time was 10:27pm-10:47pm which changed to 10:42pm , I had the tab opened the whole time. I left at 10:30pm to go pick up my food to the nearest location they’ll deliver to with 12 minutes spare of that estimated time, once I had left I opened the app the see if anything had changed and it popped up with a message saying I could no longer access the live tracking and an email would be sent to me which I never received (I now know it was because my order was canceled). I arrived to the public area at 10:38pm and called once it was 10:43pm to check where my order was because I was afraid that the app was not working and I couldn’t wait because I was very hungry. I called the store to which the worker that answered told me my order had been canceled because his driver Cameron was waiting for 10-15 minutes at the location and said they called my phone number which never came through. My partner tried to explain the situation then the worker on the phone switched to the manager of the store I assume and the conversation turned to an argument about who’s at fault. The manager said she called my phone number 5 times over and that she had to cancel the order even though I called a minute after the estimated time went over, she talked down to us for ordering at a local location saying we need to put in a note for the driver stating it was in-front of a shop even though the driver never left his car suggesting they knew it wasn’t an actual home. She said I’d get a refund within 2 days and that we wasted half an hour of her labour. You get to eat your half an hour of labour and I’m sitting here hungry with almost $40 missing from my account until the refund goes through, thank...
Read moreI visited Domino's in Katoomba with my family and friends yesterday (late evening), expecting a pleasant experience. We ordered around five pizzas, brownies, chips, and drinks. However, things took a turn for the worse when I ordered one final pizza. As the staff member handed it to me, she carelessly tilted the box, causing the toppings to spill and making the pizza an absolute mess. When I opened the box at the table, I was appalled to see the pizza in complete disarray, with the toppings scattered and the slices ruined. Naturally, I requested either a replacement pizza or a refund.
To my surprise, the staff flatly refused my request. I was then forced to escalate the matter, and the store manager was called. Not only was he unhelpful, but his demeanor was outright rude and dismissive towards both me and my wife. He couldn’t care less about the situation, making it clear he was not concerned with our complaint. His response was repeatedly "do whatever you want to do," as if our experience didn't matter at all. Despite having placed such a large order, he continued to ignore my concerns.
Frustrated, I tried to contact customer care on the phone for assistance, but the manager escalated things further. He insulted and told me to leave the store, and threatened to call the police. This kind of behavior was completely unacceptable, especially as I was with my family. I felt disrespected and belittled throughout the entire ordeal. The manager seemed entirely confident that no matter how badly he treated us, our feedback or complaint wouldn't make a difference. It was a truly shocking and humiliating experience, and I will never return to the...
Read moreA huge thank you to Thomas and the team for coming to my rescue this week! 😊 After walking from Bathurst to Katoomba, I had just finished battling my way up Nellie's Glen, using every last ounce of my energy in an attempt to reach Katoomba before all dinner options had closed for the night. I was failing, and realised I wouldn't make it to Katoomba before the last place closed for the night - Domino's. After I reached the top of that infamous climb, I realised there was a bus stop ahead... I called Domino's and reached Thomas, who confirmed that they were still delivering. I explained my situation, and asked whether they could deliver an order to me at the bus stop, just off the highway. If they could do this, I'd at least get some dinner, before walking the last little bit to Katoomba. We chatted for a moment as I explained the trek (Bathurst to Sydney) and that I was doing it for my birthday. Not only did Thomas and team deliver an absolutely vital meal and water, but they also included a lava cake as a birthday surprise and took care of me with the order as well! They were extremely kind, very generous, and I found myself with a smile ear-to-ear, when only moments earlier I had been suffering. You can probably imagine that walking over 100kms from Bathurst to Katoomba would lead to some interesting experiences, but this moment was by far the most unexpected, and easily the most enjoyable story to retell. Thank...
