There I was on a Thursday afternoon, double cheeked up, hella glutes, just finished my intense leg day workout, searching desperately for something to satisfy the empty feeling in my stomach that had been lingering for the entire day. Just as I was about to lose all hope and give up on my near impossible quest to find the perfect snack, I froze. The powerful yet subtle aroma of freshly made doughnuts creeped up my nostrils, instantly grabbing my attention. Goosebumps appeared all over. It was a smell that I'd never smelt before. I immediately dashed across to the stand, warmly welcomed by a handsome young man with a smile that glowed like the sun through his mask. His crispy voice sent shivers down my spine as he took my order politely. And in a blink of an eye, he served me the freshly made cinnamon doughnuts, steam seeping through the neatly packaged container. I could not hold back anymore. I sat down by the tables aligned with immaculate symmetry, and finally took my first bite. BOOM. I was hit by a rush of sweetness, crispiness, and fluffiness, along with the puncturing aroma of the finest quality cinnamon all working together in perfect harmony. It only got better and better the more bites I took, truly a work of art. Overall, an unfathomable moment that can only be understood with first-hand experience. So please, for the love of god go try it for yourself, and be prepared to have your mind blown into a whole new world. ChefD....

Ordered dine in coffees from a cashier who didn't make eye contact and barely said a word. Possibly a world record as the worst welcome for a food establishment. After ordering, went to sit down and all 6 spare tables with left over dirty dishes from previous customers. And no, it wasn't busy. Watched as one of the workers walked out into the dining area, pick up one dirty mug from a table (leaving all other dirty plates and cups on the table) walk back in the kitchen rinse the cup under water - no detergent. She then handed it to the barrista for what was going to be my coffee. The barrista handed it back because clearly it was still dirty, and she did the same thing again. Disgusting. Clearly none of these people want to be here. No pride in the job they are doing, no attention to customer service and a health...

When I visited Hornsby’s Donut King on Tuesday the 10th of May 2022, I was not expecting the warm and inviting experience that I had. When I saw the server I immediately felt the splash of joy that I usually only feel on my birthday. The worker, with evident Vietnamese heritage and of clear nguyen background, greeted me with a friendly “how can I help you” and from there my day got better. I tapped the eftpos machine and the well earned money flowed into the cashier and I received the greatest donut of my life. It’s crispy exterior complimented the warm and fluffy interior, making this particular donut experience one of a kind. So thank You, mr worker and I hope to be served by you...
