In any case, I had a long black here (a stronger Americano more or less) and eggs on toast; the eggs were perfectly cooked and the entire meal was unfancy but extremely delicious, and felt like a good bargain at A$10 (US$7). My partner had a peach muffin (which they remarked had a particularly good crust on the top but not as good of a base) and a mocha for A$6 (US$4). Service was quick and businesslike. We went there today after almost 10 years and was quite disappointed. Got the schnitzel and chips snack pack $12 but I can get the same with salad included from a different store.
So no salad, stale old chips and bland schnitzel with lumpy gravy for an overpriced $15 (extra for the gravy no doubt)
My colleague had the steak sandwich which quickly ended up in the bin because it tasted weird and was chewy and fatty 🤮
