It is located in Chatswood Chase, floor LG opposite Sandoitchi (NOT G as per Google maps). I recommend accessing from their back entrance if going in on foot. The place does not look as extravagant as their original shop at haymarket but it is opened earlier (haymarket shop is only opened at 11am, the Chatswood branch is open at 9am) and serves most of the same pastries and desserts. It is also their only wheelchair accessible shop. The biscuits and pastries are very aesthetic looking/instagrammable. The taste is decent but most of the price definitely comes from the look. I’ve attached my receipt so you can see their pricing, it’s usually about $3 per biscuit but some specialty like their pork floss bun is $6 and the zong zi is $7.8 each. Make sure you check your receipt because sometimes they get the items wrong.
I find it funny and ignorant how one entitled reviewer decided to visit a traditional Chinese pastry shop that has NEVER mentioned being vegetarian/vegan and expecting it to be vegetarian. Then when they find out it isn’t they throw a little mantrum and rate the shop poorly because of their assumptions. FYI most Chinese love pork and a lot of traditional Chinese food and biscuits use pork filling or lard. Also one of the first pastries you see at the window is their meat floss pastry. The...

You might think dessert are all vegetarian at least or might be vegan, they mimic the shape of fruits or described them as dates, and nuts, but don't be fooled. These traditional pastries have lard /pork fat in them. That's how they are made in original recipes.
I asked the Chinese staff, she didn't even know what's in it. Then another manager or more senior staff said very loudly and clearly seems to be annoyed by my very basic and simple question: " THEY ALL HAVE IT (Pork fat)".
So there you have it!
If you are the owner of this shop, I believe it is responsible to have clear food labelling of what's inside your food. Especially if it isn't vegetarian asost people believe these might be.
For everyone else, do enjoy the very pretty desserts, don't know how they taste, but with that kind of impatient and low quality customer service, you are better off going to...
Read moreI had a frustrating experience with the customer service at the front desk. Partner with Abby.
Firstly, the representative was unhelpful and failed to introduce me to the products, despite being new to the store. Instead, she seemed impatient while I waited to be served.
Additionally, when my friends and I reached the counter, we were abruptly asked to move to the other side to make our selections. I attempted to place my order directly and indicated what I wanted, only to be met with surprise when I ordered multiple items (close to everything). The representative then asked me to point out my choices because she couldn't see them in the display case.
Overall, I found this level of service to be unacceptable. While I understand the store may be new, it's no excuse for unprofessional...
