I had a completely different experience at this restaurant and would like to address the comments about the layout. As an architecture student, I can confidently say that the design is thoughtful and practical.
The bar in the center acts as a focal point, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. It’s a clever way to maximize interaction while allowing efficient movement for staff and customers. Placing tables along the sides ensures a more intimate dining experience, minimizing noise and traffic around seated patrons.
The self-service model may not suit everyone, but it complements the layout by reducing staff movement in tight spaces, keeping the focus on the dining and bar areas. The system is straightforward once you familiarize yourself with it, and signage could always help if confusion arises.
Staff could certainly be more proactive in assisting, but criticizing the layout itself feels unwarranted. The space strikes a balance between function and aesthetic— and understandably some people like Emily is not able to grasp the bigger picture of the design.

The menu was simple and easy to navigate, with pictures to help choose dishes that looked appetising. We opted for the beef tongue and pork don. Both dishes were flavoursome and well-prepared, but the serving sizes were on the smaller side. We wished there had been a bit more rice, as we were still feeling a little peckish after finishing our respective meals.
