I called day before yesterday to inquire about some details and potentially book a treatment. Unfortunately, my experience with the lady who answered the call was far from pleasant. From the beginning, she was rude and passive-aggressive, making the interaction quite uncomfortable.
I couldn't catch her name, so I am unsure if she was the receptionist or a hairstylist. Regardless, her attitude conveyed a lack of interest in assisting me, and she seemed very frustrated and irritated throughout the conversation. When discussing hair length, I mentioned having medium-length hair based on guides from other salons. She insisted, in a condescending manner, that no salon would categorize my hair as medium length, despite my clarifying that I was confused by varying standards. Her tone was sarcastic, and she seemed more intent on winning an argument that doesn't exist in the first place, than providing assistance.
The call ended so abruptly that it felt like she hung up on me, leaving me feeling dismissed and unwelcome. Because of this, I didn't proceed to book a service. This experience has really put me off from considering service here in the future, especially with so many other options out there.
This feedback does not reflect the quality of hair services at this place but rather the unprofessional behavior of the staff member I spoke with. It seems like this person was really frustrated with the work or was having a bad day. I wonder how many other prospective customers may have changed their minds after such interactions. This person unfortunately makes the entire business look bad.
Update- Based on the response, let me clarify again. I have no issues or questions with your hair lengths or pricing. I don't know if you actually read my entire feedback. I have clearly mentioned there was no debate about this from my end and secondly this is not a direct reflection of the hair services. That said, phone calls being answered and assisted regarding your own hair treatments is also a part of your service isn't it? So if I had a very unpleasant experience and my feedback is that the 'person who spoke with me' did not display kindness or empathy in any form, it is really upto you to do whatever you want with that information. More than my need, I am saving you from future disappointments....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would rather have a bikini wax every single day for the rest of my life then go back to Luxe.
My story starts a year ago, when I first went to Luxe Concept Salon, as I received a gift voucher to have my hair balayaged. Despite my VERY clear instructions that I don't like light colour too high on my face (as I don't have the best skin tone), the stylist who did my hair, didn't listen to anything I said and coloured my hair very blonde and put colour very high up. She was also horrendously rude. Not to mention this cost $400. I called the salon a few days later to have it fixed, and they did fit me in and recoloured my hair. I must admit, when they recoloured it, they did a great job. Albeit, this stylist was still very abrasive, however, everyone else was lovely.
Recently, having really liked the second attempt at balayage, I went back to get it re-done. I mean they do say "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" - so perhaps I should have learnt my lesson. Nevertheless, I went back to the same stylist in the hope of achieving a similar look as her second attempt. Again, she was very rude. She did my balayage again too high up, despite clear instructions multiple time, and very unevenly. It looked like dark block streaks rather than balayage. To top it off, at the end of her styling/treatment, she said "oh I'll give you this to help keep your hair in good condition" and gave me a small pouch of conditioning product, which initially I assumed she meant she was giving it too me for free of charge, as she didn't even give me the option of saying āno.ā She then proceeded to charge me an extra $30 for it.
So again, I went back to the salon, as they rescheduled me in. I asked for the colour to be brought down lower and it to be lighter. Not only was I treated with such hostility and rudeness by this one stylist-- again, please note that everyone else is lovely-- she didn't even bring the colour lower and now my balayage is 1) a horrendous colour and 2) generally uneven in both colour and placement of colour. $400 later, I will be spending more money elsewhere to get it fixed.
So suffice to say, Luxe Concept Salon, I honestly hope you all have a lovely Christmas, but I hope that in the New Year and all the future years to come, that our paths never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was one of the most underwhelming customer experiences. After being quoted a price and paying $50 deposit, I was told by what felt was very inexperienced hairdresser that she wouldnāt be able to achieve the colour I wanted as my hair would most likely go red if I attempted to put blonde foils in as I had brown hair (even though I already had blonde foils through my hair and just required a refresh and was initially told by another worker that this could be achieved). She then proceeded to quote me a higher price of $430 than what I was initially quoted and said āno, the person who quoted you is just the receptionist, Iām the hairdresserā. So I went back to the person at the front desk who confirmed that the price I had was in fact correct and then rudely said just donāt worry about it, we wonāt be bothered to do your hair today it just seems to be all too hard. So rather than acknowledging that their staff member made an error with the price, they instead told me that they werenāt going to proceed doing my hair. I work full time and long hours and donāt get the luxury of taking annual leave often so I was so distressed when I left as I was really looking forward to doing something for myself. I was completely appalled by the lack of care they had for customers especially when I booked my appt 3 weeks in advance and also took a day off work to pamper myself. They just seem to be more concerned about boasting on how they serve cocktails to clients rather but than focusing on hair which encouraging alcohol is not great for any health reasons including physical and mental health. Also if I wanted a cocktail, Iād go to a bar. I ended up going across the hall to Tribe Lifestyle hairdresser and they fortunately had some time to fit me in. I had the most wonderful experience. They offered a beautiful herbal tea and a free relaxing shoulder massage. The hairdresser achieved the exact results I wanted for my colour and they were cheaper as well which was a bonus. Iāve heard and read a few bad reviews about Luxe so I should have paid more attention to these. Donāt waste your time...
