So Obviously its El Jannah the chicken's got to be good. However, As someone who has dined at El Jannah Burwood multiple times, I can attest to the exceptional friendliness of the staff. On each visit, they have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. Their kindness and attentiveness make it clear that they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in their work.
One time, there was a small confusion with my order, and the lady quickly rectified it without any fuss. To my surprise, they even threw in a box of coleslaw for free, which was a lovely gesture. This kind of customer service is hard to come by these days, and it left a lasting impression on me.
Being a regular customer, I always catch the bus after gym to pick up my order, and today was no different. However, I was running a bit late, so I called the restaurant to inform them. To my delight, the owner personally took my call and assured me that my order would be ready when I arrived.
When I finally reached home and opened my order, I was pleasantly surprised to find an extra piece of chicken. It was clear that the owner had gone above and beyond to make my day a little better.

   Read moreMy order was missing a whole charcoal chicke, your signature item, and literally the main reason people order from this store. There are plenty of chicken shops nearby, but I specifically wanted El Jannahâs charcoal chicken.
Imagine being so hungry, waiting almost an hour only for the main item not to arrive.
I had to chase it up. I asked for the missing chicken to be redelivered, but was told to drive in and collect it, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for delivery. After a lot of back and forth with the call centre, I was eventually offered a code to use online to reorder the same chicken I shouldâve received with the rest of my order over an hour ago.
This âsolutionâ was treated like a gesture of goodwill, as though I was being given something complimentary â but this wasnât free. It was a product I paid for and never received. Everything else in the order was irrelevant without that chicken.
By the time the âreplacementâ would have arrived, my chips would have been stale. The meal was already ruined.
I was essentially made to do their job for them to fix an issue caused by their own incompetence.
The driver said he only received two bags.

I walked up there was people outside not sure why or what they were waiting for I walked in a group of people standing to the left of the store. Look to my right a group of people there. Staff had no customer service skills they were in a world of their own complete confusion no one knew where to go what to do. Staff offered no direction. I eventually went up to a pick up counter and had about 4 Uber drivers push in. The staff member was right in front of me she did not acknowledge me at all I may as well have been invisible. I then asked her for my order I was told I had to wait for the chicken and chips despite the fact I had been notified it was ready and had already been waiting 10 minutes in store after receiving notification only to be told I had to wait for chicken and chips. I waited a further 10 minutes before finally having a bag pushed toward me without a word from the staff member I had to read the receipt to make sure it was mine. I walked out knowing I will never walk back in. So many people have gone in and on about their chicken but honestly it was not a stand out for me I have had similar if not better from other businesses.
